The staff were brilliant! so happy and helpful, they really made us feel welcome. I think the room itself could have had a fan or air conditioning as it was really hot at night and opening the window did not really help that much. Wifi is available but you can only get a good signal if you're in the common room where the router is. We shared the common room and kitchen with a few more groups and we had a good chat with them so it's a nice environment to get to know other people.
The hostel was well located and the room I stayed in only had 4 beds so was quite spacious. There are only 2 bathrooms with showers so there was queuing in the morning but the lounge area is easy to meet other travellers. The staff are really friendly too. The beds are a little small and thin and the door creaked massively when opening so it wasn't so quiet. Also my towel went missing from the drying rack within the room which was annoying and the staff couldn't locate it. Overall was ok/good
Amazing hostel great for meeting people, chilling out and booking activities. Staff will answer any question with genuine interest which makes a change. Do not miss this hostel out it made Budapest (an already amazing city) the perfect place!

This hostel was one of my favorites. The staff genuinely tries to make you feel at home and the lady who owns the hostel is a wonderful woman. We booked the two person suite and it was everything we could ask for. The only thing that could have possibly been better is giving us two keys to the room, rather than one. Other than that though I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a, safe, quite, and pleasant trip.
Really happy. Staff where amazing! So helpful!!
Hands down the best hostel i have stayed at. It is a small hostel with a very homely atmosphere. The rooms and beds are comfy and cleaned thoroughly every day as well as the common room. Very nice and helpful staff especially the manager. There is a perfect common area where you can meet other travelers, and the hostel promotes meeting everyone staying there and having a good time! I recommend this hostel to everyone!
Brilliant hostel v accommodating and friendly staff. Would defo recommend. Great atmosphere without being a party hostel
Friendly staff, great location, yet there is a slightly moldy smell throughout the hostel.

My wife and I had a terrible experience with our fellow roommates, so that really tainted our experienced. Guests were smoking and stayed up verrry late. I only partially blame the staff, who was present 24/7, but didnt say a word or enforce curfew or smoking. Otherwise, the location was really superb. It is a 2 minute was to St. Stevens Basilika.
The staff here are really amazingly friendly. They give you a welcome drink on arrival and are always there to help you if needed. When you first enter the main door to the building, don't panic, it looks like you're in a manky old hole, but it gets much better when you get up to the actual hostel. The kitchen we had was a bit old and the oven didn't work, but other than that everything seemed fine. Worst thing was our window let in no light, so were always waking up in the dark :-(
Highly recommend this hostel. Great location- 5 Minute walk to metro line and on a street with heaps of food options and supermarkets. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Great vibes and a good place to meet other travellers.
Very good location but a bit of a walk from the night clubs and bars. Couldn't have asked for any more from a hostel.
Location is awesome! Since the hostel is smaller and has a very relaxed atmosphere it is extremely easy to meet fellow guests. The whole hostel is cleaned regularly. While the Owner and Anna are both extremely helpful and amazing hosts! Highly recommended for your stay in Budapest!
the location was amazing! a 1 minute walk to st stephens basilica! you can pretty much walk to all the main attractions from here! the staff were really helpful! the hostel feels more like a flat which is nice, you can meet people really easily and it doesn't get crazy at night which means u can have a good nights sleep! its also really close to the trains and trams!
Lovely dorm room and common room. Great location right next to the basilica. The staff were wonderful and friendly, they helped me organised a massage at the spa and gave us free cherries and beer in the common room. A really great hostel, I would recommend :)
Just amazing staff really friendly and willing to help. Location is great too, close to clubs/pubs and close enough to walk to attractions Some of the facilities were a bit old but don't let this put you off. The atmosphere is very homely makes it easy to meet fellow backpackers
The place is huge -- it has an entire 5 floor apartment building packed with rooms. It's too big to actually meet people and start conversations... More like a hotel.
Amazing staff! Seriously,so helpful and just great for a chat. Location is good, not amazing but still fairly close to the centre. I can see how this place would have an amazing atmosphere, but unfortunately we didn't love the group of guests we were staying with so kept mainly to ourselves even though it was the weekend and we would have loved to go out with them. The pizza place two doors over has AMAZING food also!
It was amazing to stay there... The location is perfect and the hostal is super nice, but I think that the best is the people that works there.. They are super friendly and helpful. I totally recommend Central Backpack KIng in Budapest.
