Small hostel therefore easy to meet people, and right in the centre of town. Beds VERY squeaky so I was grateful to the two people up to drunken naughty things at 4am. All part of a traveller's experience!

Great little hostel! Quiet, cosy, comfortable atmosphere. Communal type lounge area and good kitchen. Nice spacious private rooms too. Plus Gizmo the Hostel cat is great for cuddles if you miss your own cat :)

The staff were friendly and helpful. they were able to book local tours for me. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean during my stay. The only thing that wasn't so great was that people tended to play play-station games, instead of watching the tv or movies, which limited interaction and dominated the lounge area.

Nice place! Clean and modern facilities. Kind of weird atmosphere since a lot of guys were just playing video games in the lounge. I mean, me myself is a gamer but while travelling i prefere to hang out with people. Found some nice people in the kitchen, so it wasn't a problem though. Only stayed one night, but could have stayed more! Would recommend it.

The hostel was very central which was great but quite basic with the room, needs more then one thin pillow! the bathroom roof was quite mouldy. But would reccommend if you weren't fussy

A bunch of nerds sit round and watch each other playing kids games on the computer every night till late? whats that all about?? Men's bathrooms and toilets awful, unclean and only 2 showers and 2 toilets so you are always waiting for someone to finish, the free WIFI is woeful too. This hostel lacks any character. Prices decent, location is excellent and it's a safe place. But it's a dark and miserable and not fun

Very central location, seconds from the octagon and most of the city sights. Unfortunately means a bit of noisy foot traffic nearby at night. Showers were poorly lit but the staff were very helpful.

The owner helped us figure out our plan for the Otago peninsula, as well as generally filling us in about the town. He was super helpful!

6 yr olds sized gap in male bathroom wall with drop to ground level from upstairs. This is an OSH issue and would fail inspection . Have to walk through lounge in front of TV to get to bathrooms - poor design. Bottom sheet had blood stains ? From someone's back acne. Should have been soaked in bleach not put back on bed. Curtains were mouldy and staff were aware but management had not changed them. Despite this the location is excellent security is very good. Kitchen and lounge are excellent.

beautiful hostel, very modern and hotel like. You also cant get more central than this place. The atmosphere was like a library, quiet, very little socialising, which was sad. Very pleasant place to stay.

Great location in the center of Dunedin just off the Octagon. The common room was a great place to hang out and use the wifi.

Very clean shower and bathrooms, kitchen clean and well equipped. Room with only minimal furniture (2 beds and a bedside table). Stayed only for 2 nights before travelling on, and all in all, I'd book it again for a short stay.
