It is a nice enough place for about $5 a night for a dorm bed. It has decent character and free beer. It is located in a good part of Hanoi. I ended up liking Hanoi Backpackers a little better although it is a little more expensive, but they have a better travel desk and nicer facilities.

We booked just for one night but after checking in we decided to book a second night straight away. The hostel is very nice, in a perfect location, full of young people. However the best thing was the efficiency and the availability of the staff which was sooooo nice! We also booked the one night cruise to halon bay which was really really good for the little amount of money (70$) spent. I definitely recommend it!!

Staff excellent, beds not so bad, but matresses a little hard, but please clean the bathroom!! it was really stinky and dirty! the common area is ok but it smells a lot, please smoke outside! cause there are people who hate cigarretes smell! and even the reception! burn an inciense! Value for the money its ok, but this doesnt means that the hostel should be dirty! pay atention at the cleanliness please!

The bar and happy hour will always be the selling point of this hostel as it is a great way to meet fellow travellers. Beds in room 2 extremely hard though and wifi very unreliable.

Not a bad deal for the money, location was good and the free WiFi and breakfast were a bonus.

The staff are nice and helpful, Free beer from 7-8 every night, then followed by a Flow bar tour. lol What can u complain about this huh? however theres one tiny comment i would love to add to, which is the breakfast isnt as good as i thought. Maybe next time u could use some eggs or bacon instead of just one big bread with butter n jam. but apart from this, everything's just awesome, worth the money i say.

The Halong Bay organized tours are more expensive than what you'll find elsewhere. Compared to what people have been getting by booking with other agents in Hanoi it sounds well worth it though! Free beer and free internet is excellent. Breakfast is so-so, but hey! it's 5 USD a night and Hanoi is not that cheap when it comes to accommodation. All in all recommended as THE place to stay in Hanoi!

Definitely a party hostel, big focus on 'happy hour all you can drink beer'. Fine for $5/night including some bread and jam for brekkie. Beds were clean, bathroom smelled like it hadn't dried in 6 months and the timber louvers in the door, whilst great for ventilation meant that no bathroom visit was strictly a 'private' affair! All in all it was fine for one night. Be warned though, the 'secure' luggage storage is your bag thrown under the stairs in the bar. Helpful, friendly staff.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, especially the staff! If u ever go to Hanoi and want to party, this is THE spot! Happy hour with free beer or buckets! Hurra!

good hostel, staff really friendly, nice breakfast but be careful when organising tours from here, we were told we would be picked up from the train station on return at 5am but this never happened so we had to make our own way back!! On return when we asked for space to sleep they never bothered to check for us!! travelled with other people who had gotten cheaper deals on tours so shop around!

Hi Marie, Thank you very much for your nice words to our hostel. Also we would like explain for the trip to Sapa, our trip a bit more expensive cause the train we booked for you on that trip is deluxe sleeper train with wooden cabin and for pick up after the trip from the train station we did mention you that you got to get it yourself to our hostel by 50.000dong taxi and also on our schedule everything really clear

Will stay here again next time ! Definitely !

It was a decent place, 4/5. Good location, lockers and facilities. Horrible breakfast of bread, a banana, and butter jam. An AWESOME feature was free beer (sometimes buckets) every day between 7-8. We booked their boat trip to Halong Bay, which didn't have the boat that they showed us pictures of (and promised we'd have). This sucked, but we had a good time all the same.

Hi Cian, we have no idea what are you expected for a great & cheap hostel for only 5 buck/night with everything included! and for the boat trip its was really busy on that day so we run by a bigger boat and nicer as well and everyone else was really enjoyed as well! BTW, Thanks so much!

The ten-bed dorms are basic but comfortable, and the bathrooms are very nice. There's not a lot offered here as far as entertainment, but who wants to spend all their time in the hostel anyway? The breakfast consists of instant noodles, a banana, and yummy vietnamese coffee--nothing fancy, but it gets the job done (which, actually, perfectly describes this hostel).
