The noise was the main issue with the hostel - being situated next to nightclubs was not the best idea. The rooms are a bit dark, nothing special. Overall, just a dark, depressing and loud hostel.

Generally a nice stay. The building is the converted space of two town houses. Fire code compliance probably needs to be improved (with the central fire door not closing and always being left open). Laundry service reasonably prices but the washed laundry left near the smoking area. Loaned a padlock for free from reception which was nice. Overall the place was worth what I paid and generally quite comfortable.

Amazing stay. The place was clean, tidy and the atmosphere was great. The staff, awesome, in fact there was a guy called Alvaro Sanchez(not sure about the name) that helped us a lot with a small problem we had. If I had to come back to Uk, I'll start from living in this place because is great!!!

Very good. Would like if closet were a bit bigger in order to guard a notebook or a bigger backpack. Just improvements, place was certainly very good.

No hot water in the shower. Lockers were expensive and if I'm paying for a stay, I should be able to leave a small bag there during the day for free. Absurd charges.

Fun place to stay in a great location in Oxford. The staff is stellar, super friendly, which makes the vibe of this place very welcoming. The common area is small, but this means you have a good chance of meeting other travellers. A good choice if going to Oxford

You have wifi and outlets in your bedroom, but no locker storage in the rooms. The atmosphere was great, everyone was friendly. There was a TV room separate from the hangout/computer room and everyone was very friendly.

Cosier than other hostels in Oxford. Staff and guests are quite young. Young backpackers feel more welcome than in other hostels.

Just a remark about the bunkbeds: the wooden boards around parts of the bunkbeds and on the bed slats make the bunks very noisy as you literally hear every move your neighbours make (awake or in their sleep;)). Perhaps it would be a good idea if you could look into finding a way of 'muting' this? Apart from that we enjoyed our stay at Central Backpackers and would definitely recommend it to friends and family looking for cheap accomodation in Oxford!

One of the best backpackers I have been to. Great service, friendly staff. Would love to come back sometime again to Oxford, specifically for this place alone.

the positive is that It is excellent get for free a pad lock for use. You don't have to pay for use it. It is nice that the company gives a towel for you to use for free, if you don't have any. It is very very good the location. The negative is the number of showers and toilets for everyone at rush hour.

The hostel staff are quite friendly and very cheerful. You have a smoking area inside, which is nice when it's cold (although they do close that area around 0:00). The downside is the location, on a street full of night clubs, so the noise is constant. They do offer free earplugs, which is nice. It's a two minute walk to a Sainsburys and Tescos, the same for the city center and all the attractions. The night noise really puts you off, so if you have trouble sleeping, go somewhere else.

It's the best place when I stayed in England youth hostel, thier breakfast is good, and have free WiFi, cuz in England is quite hard that hostels have free WiFi service. And the location is also quite good.
