Really near the main train station. Room had a funny smell, however, as if someone had smoked in there. The showers are really open, that is, it's like a gym shower,., PRetty embarassing to shower with naked strangers around. There's no lift, so you may have to carry your lugagge up some 3 stories. The laundry is kind of a mess, but works.

When you go to Leipzig this is the place where you have to stay. Close to the city and station, clean, safe and the staffs are very helpfull.

The staff was excellent and the breakfast was very good. The bathroom situation might should be mentioned on the booking information. The showers were open without curtains - both male and female - and this fact probably should be clear. Most other hostels - I stay in dozens per year - use the term "shared bathroom" to mean "ensuite" or "shared between two rooms." All the rooms share all the bathrooms. Not a big problem, but should be mentioned.
