The location is very convenient -- or should I say Leipzig is really small so everywhere is within walking distance? One reservation I have, though, is the showers and lights. Each time you push the button (yes you have to push the button for shower, too!) the shower/light only turns on for very (VERY) short period of time. Also, shower cells were only divided by thin, semi-transparent plastic (?) curtains, and no shielded place for changing. It would be quite awkward to have others around.
The hostel is pretty conveniently located, i.e., in walking distance of the city centre. The staff was really nice and always there if you had a question. The room and bed was really clean. You can either get breakfast there or bring your own stuff to eat it in their nice breakfast room! Never had that before. The only thing I did not like were the showers which automatically turned off after 30 sec. After not pressing the button for a minute it would turn ice cold... -.- Worst showering ever.

It is a little crowdy with 4 beds in a room. Male urinal in the restroom is too high for average people.
Very close to the main station, located ten minutes' walk from city center of Leipzig; breakfast cost 3 euro but it was a buffet so that wasn't too bad, especially for Leipzig; one thing about showers is that they are VERY green about energy and hydro, so the stalls shut off after a minute or so of running water; you'll have to push the knob again for the shower to run. Oh, and there weren't any curtains in the stalls so I had to either time myself to use the men's showers or avoid women.
