they made up a bad joke on Google Maps: if you search for Central Hostel Bucharesti you'll find the first result in a wrong place, right in the heart of the city. the real location is in the north east suburbs.

Potentially good hostel. Staff OK but not exceptional friendly or helpful (end of a busy summer season ?). arrived 2 hours late and they had given the beds...... redirected to another hostel and covered the taxi fare there though. I disliked this hostel because my bed was in the basement and next to a ground-level window that didn't close and the noise from the patio kept me up all night. It was the worst hostel experience I had this trip.
