the hotel lacks character and staff is rigid, unfriendly and does not know much about customer service. worst part is its location. It looks central on the map but next time I am staying in the real center(alexanderplatz, stadtmitte, etc.) of the city if you want to enjoy Berlin as to reach this place from anywhere takes a good half an hour as Berlin as a big city.

It's a nice alternative to hostels. It's cheap for two people. It's a walk though, from everything you will be walking. Unless you master the S-bahn and U-bahn expect to walk all day in Berlin as it is a very large city. This place is nice though, and it's very clean. The ladies at the front desk are helpful.

Situated in an old building which meant creaky floors but added a sort of charm to the place, I found. Short walk to the central train station, a bit longer to the city centre, but still generally a central location.
