Like it says on the packet, this is a no-frills, value-for-money accommodation house right in the middle of Sydney. It's only 2 minutes from the station, it's clean, and the staff are helpful. However it is old, the corridors are shabby, and anoyingly, there are no bedside lights and no powerpoints near the bed.

I needed a quiet place near Central . The staff carried my suitcase upstairs, and the only time I heard from them otherwise was a discreet knock on my door to tell me I had left my key in the lock. Which is how I wanted it. I am a woman in my sixties and felt perfectly safe there. Robbie. Australia

No shared bathrooms on the entire floor, and even the share bathrooms on the level above was always fully occupied, they also should provide liquid soap rather than soap blocks. Staffs served me reasonably friendly, but unfortunately the facilities seriously have a great room to improve. This 'hotel' is only comparable to another hostel I stayed few months ago. As my family also runs a business, I understand running a business is no easy task, but I hope they would consider customer reviews.

Loved the location! It looks a bit old, but then again you pay for the price. Staff was very helpful. I also like that the wifi is fast, and there is a computer inside the room.

Noisy with cramped hallways, lack of 24 hour presence also evident which is strange for a capital city (although kudos to staff member who stayed after my late phone call after a delayed flight to process my check-in).

Friendly staff, good location, clean room and PC in the room was excellent. I stayed here when I first arrived as to adjust and suffer jet lag in silence, I recommend this place if you want privacy but not if you're looking for a social setting.

I really enjoyed staying here! Friendly staff, free wi-fi, computer, fridge and kettle in the room, iron in a laundry, free tea and coffee, warm blanket. Maybe the cleanliness was not perfect but neither too bad. The location is also very convenient: a bottle shop, several supermarkets and cafes nearby, 2 minutes on foot to the Central station and about 40 minutes to Circular Quay. And it was the only one hotel with a single ensuit room for reasonable price that I could find.
