The location is good and room is being cleaned thoroughly everyday during my stay. The staff is ok but not really friendly , at least they are willing to help. There is microwave and utensils to use, no common room. The first night I have stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm, there is three couples in my room, one of them sleep on the same bed as they treated the room as a private room. The rest of days I stayed in a female dorm is better and able to make some friends.

Perfectly situated - at the Heart of the city Decent rooms and beds with affordable prices. But no common area to hang around and meet folks staying there, no kitchen, no free breakfast, etc. Still worth it!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent location in the main area of Amsterdam, clean spacious rooms and toilet. Cons were the stairs are a little steep and narrow, and no lobby to chill at because it is a tall lot with no ground floor. Overall, well worth the low price and a very good hostel for visiting Amsterdam for a few days.

Security is not great. My stay had a problem with booking, I had to stay mixed and they just apologied and no discount or whatever. Bathroom always busy and not so clean. Room cleanness is the worst I've stayed in Europe. Just too different to the pics that are on websites.

Great location-actually better than the Leisdeplein district for vicinity to many touristic places and the central stations. Bathroom facilities are good, there is no curfew, wifi, staff are nice and it was nice and clean

Overall my stay at Central station hostel in Amsterdam was good. The staff was very nice and easy to talk to. The hostel does not have a common space without staying in bed. They would benefit to make one of the rooms into a common area for everyone to share. The only two problems i had was no mention of the hostel being inaccessible for handicapped, and the sheets were not changed or cleaned between guests. This was evidenced during my stay.

Very nice hostel with nice staff. Very clean facilities but I'd like the check-out time to be slightly later!

Great location, helpful staff but lack of common areas because it was converted into a hostel from a typical dutch house.

Steps are soo steep. It is tough to walk upstairs. Rooms are good and location is best. No complaints regarding others.

It's a really squeeze place with no common place so it's really for those who just need a place to sleep, which isn't a surprise considering the narrow architecture of the buildings in Amsterdam. Beds and duvets were comfy (yay). The location is perfect, right smack in the middle of town (near the palace and national monument) so everything is walkable from there. There's space under the bed for you to lock your stuff.

Though initially the location may seem a bit obscure, the hostel is nice and clean. The staff were helpful and I always felt safe entering and exiting the property.

Good, cheap hostel. Very small and lacks a social area. Kitchen would be nice but I don't think many hostels in Amsterdam have these. Location is fantastic if you want to be in the heart of the city. Good showers and wifi

10 minutes walk from central station. Very very steep stairs so be careful. Location was great near to the city center.

I booked at last minute due to the location. They will try to charge you additional 5% + 5%, city tax and credit card respectively. If you use a debit card then you may save 5% depending on your bargain capability :)

The location of the hostel, and the rooms are really great. On the downside, the hostel has no common area or something like that to eat for example. We arrived at 7AM just to leave our bags, and there was no one there until 8AM, so the advertised "24 hour reception / checkin" didn't work for us. The hostel says "Credit Cards Accepted", but there is a 5% service fee!!! Why is this? At least you should warn it...
