Brigitte was an excellent host, and the location is wonderful.. a little ways outside of town. However, we found the cabins to be rather loud. The location is very close to the beach, which is wonderful, but also close to bars on said beach. During the day you can feel the bass from the music in these bars. To be fair that music does turn off by 8 or 9pm, but it is an annoyance. Also, in the morning be expected to be woken up multiple roosters. Again, just an annoyance but worth mentioning.

We really liked the cabina! Very nice people and very relaxed atmosphere. Great for taking a few days' rest.

Meant only to stay 4 days but stayed 10, this was not only due to loving Cahuita but also enjoying staying in my lovely room with the sound of the howler monkeys in the morning. Peace and tranquillity surrounded in vegetation, a hammock, sleeping to the sound of the waves and awesome banana pancakes in the morning. I loved this place and could have stayed for months. Had a fabulous day on a tour with Brigitte to the Bri Bri village to learn about chocolate and a fun time at the Waterfall.

This place is pretty small: a few simple, but quite adequate cabins in a piece of a tropical forest/garden within 50 meters from Cahuita's Playa Negra (a decent beach, but not spectacular). The multilingual owner and staff were very frriendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable about the area. There was even hot water in the shower ("electric shower") - something fairly rare in the tropics. The nights were very quiet - something we enjoyed a lot after spending over a week in noisy cities.
