The location is excellent. It takes only 5 minutes walk to the buss station from where you can take interstate busses to other regions in Malaysia. From the same buss station you also can to take local buss to the train station at Wakaf Bahru. Gerana Ghesthouse is very near most attractions in the city. The rooms are Clean and has the basic facilities. the staff is friendly and speaks good English I recommend Gerana.G

Didn't end up statying because I had been traveling all night and informed the guesthouse if be there at 8, but when I got there I was locked out til someone leaving let me in. Once in I hung around for an hour and reception/owner still wasn't awake

Probably just there at the wrong time of year. But it was more or less closed. Nobody around a lot of the time.
