The staff were very friendly, but that is all the good I can say about this hostel. They do not provide breakfast (although hostel world, their website and their sign claims they do), beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the bathrooms were dirty. Not recommended.

Stayed only one night for transit stop but this place was acceptable in price, location, free wifi, bed was good, etc. The property has 7 rooms, five have aircon, one room aircon was not working. One note is they do not have rooms with twin beds even though it shows in booking possibilities. Not all rooms have aircon. The one deluxe ensuite double room does not have hot water shower. Common shower has good hot water. Owner and his friend are helpful and speak good English. Not a bad place.

When I booked my bed on hostelworld.com, I selected the arrival time as 5pm and the staff showed up to open the door at 5pm sharp.

Stayed one night on my way to Perhentian. Had to wait a few hours for staff to show up (but I was also a couple hours late myself coming in from Thailand). Staff was really helpful, showed me around, and helped me figure out everything I needed to get to Perhentian the next day. Pretty clean (nothing worth complaining about - this IS Asia). Overall not a bad place to stay, probably better with more people around as well. Mall, restaurants and markets all around the corner.
