No safe and the halls smell awful. Clean beds though, and the location is good (east end of Khaosan Road).

Most unfriendly member of staff I have ever met in a youth hostel. But at least she put on a fake smile about 1 second after she starting to speak to you... Furthermore, they messed up our booking for the airport bus. They didn't tell us that they forgot to actually book the bus until it was already too late. Rooms are OK, but location is just a mess. The rooms facing Khaosan road guarantee for zero sleep during the whole time of your stay,

The room looked like a repurposed bathrom with two plain beds and nothing more; window leads to the Khao San road and the loud music won't let you sleep (you can choose between muffled music and no air, or fresh air and in-front-of-stage loudness of music). A ripoff for the price (550 thb), found a quiet and frendlier place for 350 thb few streets away.

Fantastic place to stop, would instantly recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok and Khao San Road! Staff helped you with any problem you had, whether that be in or outside of the hostel. Cannot fault this hostel. As long as you don't mind a bit of music blasting out until the early hours then this is the best place to stay on Khao San!

My main problem is that I didn't get the room I booked. I booked for two people and they had one single bed. We weren't able to stay there so we found a different place. Bummer. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Although there was confusion with our initial booking, we were upgraded to a better room for the same price. Location the biggest plus

The hostel was fine but bear in mind it's on Kho San road, so VERY noisy at night! We only stayed one night as we were flying south the next day, but second time round in Bangkok we stayed on the nearby street of Rambutri which was much quiter and only 5 minute walk from Kho San, which I'd recommend to anyone who wants at least a bit of slee.

Good location, right on Khoa San road, but at the end so the noise isnt too bad. if you are a very light sleeper, might get earplugs. other than that clean and the transport to the airport they organised got there on time

Good basic hostel. Reasonable price for Th. Khao San. Clean rooms, internet, etc. Nothing special but a good place to start a tour of SE Asia.

Some rooms are better, you get what you pay though, staff are helpful and friendly. Internet usage is cheap and common area is nice to relax in.

Very nice hostel, 1 male staff member (daytime guy) was awesome, the others were only as helpful as they could be with the language barrier and even with that, they didn't seem to eager to help anyone out, girls were kind of lazy and the one guy was just a new hire.

Chada's is great for a no frills stay in Bangkok. I stayed with a friend and the twin share room with ensuite was perfect. Staff are really friendly and the rooms are simple and clean. I really enjoyed staying here, so much that upon returning to Bangkok I stayed another couple of nights in a single room which was also good.

The room is extremely basic and unclean, hardly any water running in the tap for shower. The room is very small, the two twin beds take up all the space

Couldn't have asked for a better location! Stayed 3 nights, the room was great and very secure, not so much as a cleaner went in the whole time which is a good and a bad thing! Never made it for the free breakfast- it's Koh San Road after all.

Pros: excellent location at the east end of Khao San Road, walking distance to Royal Palace and Wat Po, free wi-fi, good price, free toast for breakfast Cons: location = noisy, bring earplugs. Only one electrical outlet in the room. Very firm mattress.

It's fine - the rooms are small but clean and you get towels and the shared bathroom was never busy during my stay. The location is great providing you want to be in the middle of the Khao San Road action. Not the friendliest place in the world - lot's of signs saying what not to do and outlining extra charges for damage, stains etc. But given some of the morons that this area attracts maybe it's a prudent move.
