Cheap and in a good location but not a fun atmosphere.

The bathroom lights were broken for a few days without anyone coming to fix them. Toilet paper was missing frequently.

Great location, close to the action, but far enough away to be quiet on a night.

Only booked for one night but decided to stay longer. Good location, lovely staff and everything you want for a hostel. Would stay again.

Good location. Beds extremely hard and does get extremely hot in the rooms. Place is clean, but there's no social atmosphere. Ladies be careful in the Alley at night as my friend was sexually assaulted..others have reported similar stories.

If you are looking for a quiet clean hostel this place is near perfect. Great location. No towels and sometimes you need to ask for toilet paper, but it's a great value for money.

website says "towels included" but they are not. was refused a towel when i asked and staff was a bit rude and off putting

Clean, air con, tv and good location on a tight budget. Quiet street, walking distance from the action. Our no. 1 recommendation if staying here is that you try the food the lady serves at the kiosk right at the entrance to this hostel. Her food is very cheap, perfectly clean, made with love and absolutely delicious!

For 500 bahts, a great deal - clean, big room with hot water, fridge, fan and AC. Centrally located. Would come back.

it's a cheap and simple hostel but there is more choice nearby at same price range. the location is good. it's good for those who want a quiet place. check out time is a bit early. 10:00am or 10:30am(?) the staff didn't show me where i slept. i just try the door with the key to make sure i got in the right one. even the bed number is very small.

The staff were not nice at all with me just because I arrived later than expected due to flight delay. The mattress is REALLY HARD. It was almost impossible to sleep. They didn't give me a blanket and it was really cold. There was a terrible annoying noise of a door closing and opening the whole night, no toilet paper, bathroom really dirty. Don't recommend at all.

In addition to being a clean, centrally located, and safe hostel, the owner of Chada House was a very warm, hospitable, and insightful lady. When we presented queries regarding what is the best mode of transport to visit various tourist sites, she was incredibly informative. In fact, she even went the extra mile and provided her own services, at a cheaper price than the Tourism of Thailand (TOT) offices around the city.

Great value for money. Basic, but clean and convenient accommodation and close to all sorts or excitement. Also has a great cheap Thai cafe right at the entrance with terrific food. Try the coconut milk soup.

Great location and staff, can get abut noisy at night due to the communal area bring outside the dome

Good value for money good location. Hot water ☺no kitchen/kettle. And had to ask for toilet paper. But otherwise very good.

We booked for one night and ended up staying for our whole time in Chiang Mai. The ladies who run the hostel are lovely and really helpful with booking and suggesting things to do. All round great trip and accomodation.

The room is really clean although a little dated and we only had a small fleece blanket as a duvet. The mattress is very hard and the security gate is squeaky and quite loud when opened and closed through the night. No security deposit box but reception was so helpful booking excursions and checking in. Showers were hot and towels provided too. Close location to everything in Chiang Mai. Having said all that it is very cheap and you get what you pay for, ideal for 1/2 nights.

The hostel had a goid location and okay rooms. Overall fine for the money.

Chada has the bare necessities. It's quiet and simple, I loved staying because of this. However the beds are really hard and uncomfortable.

Quiet and quaint little hostel in a great location. Very clean and comfortable. Skip the free breakfast (bread and jam) and get some noodles and one of the roadside places nearby instead for about $1USD.
