The Pros: Good security, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and warm, and it was nice having a television in our (private) room. Easy walking distance to a lot of the sights, and the free breakfast was tasty. Plenty of hot water for showers. The Cons: The walls were thin to the point that we were whispering in our room, because we could hear every conversation in all the rooms around us. The Wi-Fi didn\'t reach out of the common area, so we couldn\'t use it in ou

Good: friendly staff. Average breakfast with additions cheaply available. Bad: very thin walls don't block sound. The cleaners are always cleaning the bathrooms at inconvenient times. Insufficient bathrooms. Quite expensive compared to other hostels.

The airport pickup was a nice touch. the bed had lots of blankets but the room was cold. Felt more local than typical backpacker hostels which made a nice change. Breakfast was very basic. Shower was decent though better when no-one else was using the water. Really liked all the staff.

Very nice staff and helpful. They called a taxi for us early in the morning to go to the train station towards Machu Picchu and gave Mass Times at Cuzco´s Cathedral. Bad part was my door wouldn´t stay locked so I had to leave my things with an unlocked door all day, but I felt safe enough with the people there to do so. Great Location as well, just a few blocks from one main square, and about four or five from Plaza de Armas through pretty busy touristy streets.

The room was smelled of mold but EVERYTHING else was great. Great movie selection, great staff, good location. Was the best peruvian hostel but by far was not the worst.

We thought the hostel could have been more helpful with getting information about going to Machu Picchu. As well, breakfast is only served from 8-10, so if you're leaving early for Machu Picchu it's a little inconvenient. Also, there was no luggage storage area if you'll be out for the day and don't want to haul your luggage around. Very clean, pretty comfortable and really warm beds!

Chakana House was a nice quiet spot to spend our time in Cusco. Easy to find, and not too far from the downtown core, Chakana House certainly has a welcoming atmosphere, with helpful staff, yummy breakfasts, and clean rooms.

Friendly staff and in a location that is close to the main plaza but just outside the party zone. Clean facilities and they were very accommodating to my early checkout and request to eat breakfast early. Security was lacking a little so just keep your valuables on you at all times and you'll be fine.
