A friend and I stayed at Chalet Les Frênes for a weekend. The Chalet was easy to find and sits right below the Bossons glacier. In the morning you can drink coffee and enjoy the free breakfast on the deck all while looking at the glacier, Agui du Midi, the Dru, and a number of other famous alpine landmarks. The Chalet itself was clean, quiet, and offered everything we needed. The host/owner, Phil, is a nice guy and was helpful with information about things to do, weather, logistics, etc..
Hospitality was great & the use of their personal assets like snow shoes was offered & taken up for free! Rooms were clean and very comfortable & an obvious smell of clean sheets was always flowing though the Chalet, although the entrance is a boot room with boot storage & a separate ski storage safe room. This room is not really communal as it is an entrance room, but after a meal in a local restaurant Phil the owner had no problem in us enjoying our wine in this space.
