Neill, the owner, is a extremely friendly and helpful guy. He is full of information on what to do in the area and when you leave early in the morning (4 o clock) he will bring you to make sure your safe. It has a nice garden, a refreshing pool and the best views over the lake and the island of Flores. In the evening you can enjoy the beautiful sunset while enjoying a cold beer or cocktail on the terrace. The price is good and you can enter Flores by boat for 10 quetzales each 5 minutes.

We have spend there some nights. Neill is a great host and really helpful. He does his very best in helping you in every question. I've been robbed in Tikal and I do not know what would have happend to me without his help!. Thanks again and I'm sure that I'm going to visit this beautiful place again! :) There is just one girl at the reception which is not really able to do anything :(

This was truly the best hostel experience I've ever had. At first I was concerned about the location, since its across the lake from Flores in San Miguel, but it is SO MUCH BETTER than staying in Flores. It is much more peaceful and lowkey, with an extraordinary view of the island, which is easily accessible by water taxi. The owner staff are wonderful

This hostel is over the other side of the lake and you have to catch a boat over from the main part of Flores nonetheless the incredible views are worth the inconvenience! The staff were very helpful and friendly however, one night we went over to the mainland for dinner and organised for a boat to pick us up at 11pm and it never showed up. This meant that we were entirely stranded and had to wait until morning to get back. The wifi was also quite slow. Tthe hostel itself was lovely!

Best hostel.A safe place to sleep in the jungle like setting. If anyone has anything negative to say about this place, they spend to much time complaining.anywhere in the world you would be paying double.

Only had one key to 5 bedroom dorm so it was always unlocked. No lockers or lock boxes in the rooms. Owner Neil is super helpful and said he had a security box you could use if you wanted. None of us did and our things were fine. Felt very safe there even though it wasn't in the town of Flores. Pool is awesome and view is well worth it.

Hostel is located on the island next to Flores, you need a 5 minute boat ride to get there. Rooms are nice bungalows. They have good food, good common area, hammocks, a swimming pool and a really nice view to the lake where you can watch amazing sunsets. The only issue is that they don't have lockers and you have to leave your valuables with the owners. Neil, the owner is just a really helpful, calm and polite gentleman. He will help you with whatever you need.

Exceptional hostel owner, went out of his way to help us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only downfall was no cooking facilities for guests, but the restaurant food was very good and affordable. We personally enjoyed staying off the island of Flores, as the short (2-5 minutes) boat trip was enjoyable. Great value for money!

The front of the hostel and the common areas are gorgeous and amazing!! Pool, hammocks, view over the lake! No private lockers, only 1 key for a dorm, path to the cabins is unlit. the cabins are right behind some farms(?) the chickens, dogs, cats, etc. are VERY loud. The bathrooms remind me of summer camp.

Fantastic view, friendly service, beautiful pool and terrace area. The food was good and Neil provided lots of information about tours etc. The prices you pay for shuttles and tours are a bit more expensive that what you would pay in town. The internet was pretty slow and unreliable and there were no hot showers. The view of sunset over Flores will probably make you forget all that anyway.

1 Getting to the hostel in San Miguel from Flores took us an hour and a 15 minutes 2 The staff at the hostel in Flores were not very helpful or welcoming 3 They charge for drinking water 4 There were not enough blankets 5 The bathrooms had zero privacy and no place to change clothes 6 The bathrooms were unkempt and had broken lights 7 The included wifi only worked at the front of the property, not where the rooms were located, and it worked poorly 8 There were no lockers for valuables

Beautiful hostel and wonderful view of the lake. Great coffee as well. The room is in the woods, nice, fresh and quiet. Neil does everything to accommodate travelers. He even sent a late night boat and picked me up from the dock. Enjoyed the stay very much. Definitely recommend this hostel if you want a quiet and beautiful place.

The owner here is amazing! Neil will do whatever he can to help and accommodate you. The view from San miguel is breath taking. The price for the private with ensuite was such a good price. The only downfall was that it's a small peninsula so you need to take a boat the Flores but if you plan ahead with your daily activities it's simple. Plus it's a nice boat ride on sunrise or sunset. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend it here!

FANTASTIC! Neil and Beatriz were excellent hosts (very charming and helpful). The lodge has an incredible view looking over Flores (amazing sunsets with 10Q/$1.50 happy hour special from 5-9pm). Lodge is on San Miguel peninsula across from Flores island. You can catch a quick boat to Flores for 5Q/person (less than $1 each.) No shared kitchen but they have a restaurant (delicious but not always available so confirm they're cooking lunch/dinner in the morning). VERY RELAXING (pool/hammocks).

A very nice place to stay. The manager is very helpful. But you have to cross if you want to go to town or to a bar the river "10 Quetzales return And if you are late there is no boot to the island. The prices for breakfast are high, and they have at the moment just one working shower with warm water and only two toiletts in the cabin area. The price for the bus ticket is to Lanquin in Flores is 100 Quetz. and at the hostel you have to pay 150 Quetzales.

Staying here was exactly what we needed after a day of travel. Neil will pick you up to take you across the lake or you can take a launcha for 10Q. There is a ton to do in San MIguel, so make sure to ask Neil. You can take a boat to a rope swing, hike to see the other side of the lake or to a lookout point. I wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely stay here for a great relaxing accommodating atmosphere.

Beautiful hostel with a view of Flores and the lake. The owner organised our bus, guide and even ferry to get to Tikal next day for prices half that of what we were offered in town. Let us store our luggage on their hostel on the Flores island as we only stayed one night. Only downside is that it is not on the island of Flores and requires water taxi to get there and back, but well worth it!

The owner is amazing and really aims to please his guests and is always happy to help. Main issue was that to get to and from Flores you have to get a boat, this makes the hostel quite remote (and it is amazingly beautiful with an unbelievable view of Flores) but the last boat is at 10pm, and only 3 other people were at the hostel at the time, so couldn't stay out in Flores, and no atmosphere at the bar. Despite this, would still definitely recommend, especially for those seeking tranquillity.

If you want to stay in a quiet place then this is your place. For us it was a little too quiet but staff were lovely, polite and attentive. The rooms were spacious and clean. Close to everything, price was good. Breakfast was included
