Very secluded and quiet (not counting the bloody rooster at the back of my room), this place's just a 5 quetzal boat ride from Flores in San Miguel, and offers an excellent view of Flores.15 minutes away from the 'beach' with a swimming pool as well. Room's amazing and the grounds itself is very appealing after the hectic lifestyle in G.City or Anituga. Neil is very helpful and friendly and the home-cooked meal is well delicious! His baby's the friendliest :). Recommend!!!

The hostel is on the other side of the lake and is VERY difficult to get to unless you have a ride from the owner. The boat back and forth costs $$ any time you want to go to Flores you have to pay a lancha and they give different prices to tourists. The WIFI does not reach the cabin, the pool was unusable (unmaintained) as was the rest of the property. The breakfast was 2 slices of white toast. We had to ask the owner for our change the day we left because he had no $ when we checked in

The compound is very huge. Although their WIFI is quite powerful, it still cannot reach the cottages where the guest are staying. It will be a good idea for Neil to have their own boat since crossing the lake is way shorter route than driving around the inland. The Guatemalans have the habit of overcharge (the boat ride) to a foreigner! They have 2-prices system. One for local Guatemalans and one for non-Guatemalans. I'm amazed that the Guatemalans didn't feel ashamed for this!

We enjoyed our stay and Neil was very helpful and didn't complain when we made him get up at 4am two mornings in a row to get us a water taxi back over to Flores for our buses! I would recommend that they put signage up at the UK@ Cafe about the hostel as we arrived at 6am and had no way of contacting the hostel and the cafe didn't open until 7.30am and the lady didn't speak english.

Excellent accommodation, extremely friendly staff, very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here. This place is in an excellent location to start exploring the heart of the Mayan World
