I had a great stay in Chambers. Nice clean rooms and very close to everything in Taksim Area. Most importantly it is very quiet considering the whole area is noisy at night. Staff are friendly and helpful.. Only gripe i would have is that the lounge area seems bit disorganised, but found it hard to meet people in the lounge (but not the hostels fault just the guest at the time) My dorm bed and bathroom with very clean. If your staying in Taxsim area and want to sleep this is it!

The rooms, bedding, and bathrooms were filthy- good atmosphere and kind staff members, perfect location for the bars

A great hostel in Istanbul! Great location and the owners are really helpful with tourist activities. Showers hot! And clean and comfortable rooms! Definitely recommend..

We had a great time at Chambers of the Boheme. The owner was really nice and helpful with all our tourist questions. Really close to a great nightlife and shopping!

Mr. Ahmet was very helpful in every way. So was the rest of his staff. They all speak fluent English which was a big help to us since we were unable to speak Turkish language.He and his staff is very knowledgeable about the city and can really guide you well during your visit. They have fresh tea and Turkish coffee 24/7 in the lobby along with a receptionist which we really liked. The rooms were clean and comfortable and location was excellent with every thing at your doorstep. Thumps up.

Hostel is far from its glory in 2009. The years of wear &tear are visible and they do not do nothing about it. Still hostel is with great location & some of the staff are pleasure to talk to.

Bathroom were clean,good shower pressure n the owner was very helpful,check me in at 2 am. value for money n great location to taxsim. Would stay here again. It will be great if they have breakfast.

Great hostel with lots of character in a really good central location, helpful staff. Good for people that want to be in a lively area but tucked away on a side street so not too manic! Really enjoyed my stay here..

Staying in Chambers of Boheme was really great experience. Hostel is located in the heart of old Instanbul next to famous Istiklal street. All the main city attractions are very close. Transport to the airport is 5 minuts walk away, at Taksim square. The manager of the hostel is very kind and helpful. We really had a great time here.

I stayed at Chambers of the Boheme two years ago and loved it. I would still recommend the hostel because of its great location and very helpful staff, but felt that the hostel seemed a little tired. Part of that wear and tear look gives it its charm, but my super squeaky bed and sheet that came undone at my slightest movement felt like minor details that, if fixed, could restore this hostel to its former status.

Friendly staff, good location

The price was certainly right and the facilities were just fine. However, the room I stayed in (especially its bathrooms) could have been a lot cleaner.

This is a perfect location if you want to party on Istikal. Ahmet is very kind and booked an excellent tour that covered Cappadocia, Pammukale and Ephesus. The tour included buses, accommodations, two meals per day and tour guides. Some of the tours of the sights were better than others but I think it all depends on the guide. Still though, the price was very reasonable and I don't think I could of gotten a much better price if I planned it myself.

The owner is the best part of the experience, very friendly and funy.

it was an excellent location. i didn`t expect that much. staff was really helpful and friendly. and of course facilities were pretty enough. i definitely will stay there when i go back there again.

IT WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR ME AS A WHOLE IN ISTANBUL. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE OWNER OF THE HOSTEL 'AHMET' WAS ALWAYS HELPFUL AND NICE TO ME. THE LOCATION OF THE HOSTEL WAS ULTRA GOOD. IT IS LESS THAN 30 SECONDS TO GET TO THE MOST FAMOUS STREET OF THE CITY ( ISTIKLAL CADDESI ) AS A RESULT I CAN SAY THAT: IF YOU NEED SOMEWHERE TO STAY THIS IS THE PLACE ;)
