This was a convenient hostel and I'd recommend people to stay here. It was handy being walking distance from the main shopping street and the central area where all the major nightlife is based. The staff were helpful in providing useful information on what to do and where to go around the surrounding area and also allowed us to check in when we arrived earlier than the check-in time. If you wanna stay in h?storical part, just go to sultanahmet. But Im sure, it will be boring.. If you were young, and want to enjoy nighttime, don't ask again. Just go to Taksim, f?nd Chambers of the Boheme. The owner is very funny (and so fat :p) and you can here briliant mus?c just infront of the hostel and I think the kebab restaurant infront of the hostel is the best in istanbul...If you wanna stay in h?storical part, just go to sultanahmet. Hostel was nice, but didnt seem to be many people staying so made it a little boring although the hostel is in a really good location for night life which is good, bit loud on the first floor but just bring your earplugs. All up very nice clean hostel, felt more like a hotel for a hostel price! one other thing was there was no security for your bag so you need to trust the people in your room. I think they need to invest in some lockers. Would stay again though. Room's are well kept and characterful, staff are friendly and helpful. It's on the best side of the river for people who want to experience the real istanbul, best area for nightlife. The cafe outside my window plays loud music till late but it would only affect light sleepers once the window was closed. Room's are well kept and characterful, staff are friendly and helpful.
