We stayed less than 5 minutes in this place. The very unhelpful male staff member had no record of our hostelworld booking and kept trying to act as if we were negotiating a walk in rate. Finally get a room and it's filthy, smelled like mold, had bugs on the ground, broken tiles including an actual hole under the bed and a disgusting bathroom. There was also a broken cable from the fridge stretching out across the floor. We immediately left and found somewhere else to stay.

For the price the room was great - spacious, functional, clean, with a comfy Bed,, TV, Fridge. Surprisingly the room had a large private balcony to chill out. Location is in town, but is handy to reach the beaches and attractions, with the market being v close. Spent a lot of time in the bar - great atmosphere with cheap beer, and sports on TV and promos. The ribs are the best I have had in Asia. Staff are fun too, and very quick with their service. Manager is v friendly/helpful/informed.

Arrived late in the evening but the room was still reserved and no problems staff couldn't be more helpful even carried our bags to the room. Had a fews beers in the bar and it was buy one beer get one free during the football. Only bad thing was that my team lost. Owner / manger seemed to know the town very well and recommended a few places to stay on the beach. Also sorted out our ongoing travel to Thailand.

Room was nice for the price paid. Owner didn't really seem like he knew how to run the place. Location is not close to the beach as advertised. You'll need a tuktuk/bike to get to any of the beaches, but it'll only cost you around $1-2 dollars

Owner Comment (Show)
Thank you for your comments Peter, I take on board what you have said. However, we never claimed that the hotel was near to the beach, the location marker was set by the Hostelworld software to start and we never noticed the error until it was mentioned. It has obviously since been rectified. That said, thank you for pointing out that we are only a short Moto ride. Additionally, and again I apologise, your booking was the first from Hostelworld (same day as joining) and we weren't familiar with the booking and pricing process. This would explain the confusion over the room price, that said, all errors would have been in the guests favour. Thank you again for visiting and I hope you enjoyed your time in Sihanoukville.
