The location is the main feature. The hostel lay upon a pub/american bar and they had played music until 5.30 am. We couldn't sleep. Staff are unfriendly, rooms very small and bathrooms are not clean. They ask 4 euro for breakfast but it's not worth a cent.

I generally enjoyed the hostel experience! The staff was knowledgeable and kind. I was a bit surprised that the doors to the hostel were unattended and that the keys had to be left behind the bar. I would have liked there to be soap in the bathrooms, since there was a sink. Also, the radiator in our room did not work and our bunkbed was not properly bolted to the wall. I would also advertise where the lockers are located, since I couldn't find them.

Well, the hostel was very close to the centrum and it was cool to have 5 pool tables in our hostel but that was all. The rooms were not clean at all. On saturday night the live concert and the music afterwards until 4am in the morning sucked. Not worth going.

Perfect for what you pay for. Location is excellent. Don't expect 5 star but does exactly what it says on the tin.

Good hostel and excellent location! Very close to the central place (2 minutes by walk) with a nice bar downstairs. The 6 bed dorms are very little but they're okay anyway. I would recommend this hostel. No lockers in the dorms.

Good hostel, cozy and quiet upstairs but fun and busy downstairs. Staff at the bar/reception is nice. Right beside Brugges mainsquare, a few minutes by bus from the train station, excellent location.

Nice hostel, good bar, nice staff

Great atmosphere, the bar down stairs is awesome! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Only real comments are that breakfast is not included (but hey there are so many cafes around this really wasn't a problem) and the showers are ridiculous. You have to hold down the button the whole time you are showering and the pressure isn't good and it's either too hot or too cold. But other than that a really cool place to stay.

Clean hostel, convenient location and friendly staff. I was a little surprised that breakfast cost four euros but I've nothing else to complain about, good hostel!

The quality of the rooms and facilities was appalling. The rooms were dark and bed linen was ripped and stained. The showers and toilets were very poor too.

It was really good and the bar downstairs is awesome... it's just bad for those who wants to sleep early, because you can hear the loud music. The other guests did lots of noisy in the room beside mine.

Staff were very mixed.... the good were great... the poor were rude. Top location and great vibe in the Bar. The first floor is subject to random's visiting from the Bar as the connecting door into the accomidation area is not locked... always keep your room door locked as ours was rattled five different times during saturday night. Would visit Charlie's again as its a superb place to see Bruges from.

The room is simple but clean and warm. The toilets are not so clean and the shower not so hot, besides I has to press the butom of the shower in each 30 seconds more or less because it stoped, so the shower was not good. The location of the hostel is very good. There is a bar at the hostel that works until late but the noise did not upset me. The breakfast and the tower are not included (4€ for the breakfast and 1€ for the tower). Unless the shower, in general I think it is good.

I booked a 6 - Bed dormitory via Hostelworld. When we arrived we were told that we would have to pay the full price even though I had paid a 10% deposit. I was told "You either pay or find somewhere else to stay!". To be honest the actual amount of money doesn't bother me it's the principle. We got to the room and the bunkbeds were in a really poor state of repair. The upper safety rails had been broken off and were very sharp. The staff really didn't care.

The hostel is nice, reasonably clean and at a nice location. There is a bar directly below the hostel with table football and snooker. The best part is that the bar is open till morning. Things I didn't liked are dirty showers and they asked 1 EURO for the towel. I don't know it was a joke or serious demand but I didn't payed for it at the end :) There was no light in our toilet, so we ended up using common toilet. Overall, the experience was OK so I can recommend the place for a few nights.

Can't beat the location! Close to everything and easy to get to. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station, which isn't bad! The room was very clean it was simple, but nice. I didn't take a shower, but I heard from others that they weren't great because you had to keep pushing the handle to get water. Our heat wasn't ever turned on and we nicely asked the workers twice. Value for money was pretty good though. Luggage storage available, but it doesn't lock. Worth it for location!
