The hostel Charlie Rockets is above a bar with the same name. The atmosphere is very nice as you can have a beer with friends downstairs and then just go upstairs to your dorm. The breakfast is cheap (4€ only) the the hostel provides you with a nice map of the city with some nice insider tips. Only drawback is the bar because it results in some drunk people screaming on the street.
It would probably be better for older guests. There's a bar/pub at the hostel and that's pretty cool. The location saves this place it is actually so good (2 min walk from anything) You had to pay for lockers though. There was also no kitchen and no real common area. No wifi in the room only at the pub
Near the city center. The bar downstairs is good. Sadly no wifi in the rooms
Good location, clean rooms, good price. Lovely bar downstairs with good atmosphere!
Good experience and value for money. Staff were very helpful and polite, location was excellent minutes walk to the main square. Only issue is the wifi didn't reach my room and every time you wanted to use it you had to check in. Other than that small issue was a pleasant stay.
Just your average hostel. Not really anything to complain about but nothing to rave about either. Everything was alright but nothing was great. I'd recommend for a budget traveller like myself.
The location and atmosphere were great, and the bar staff were super friendly and helpful! A well stocked bar meant that we didn't need to travel far from the hostel to get decent Belgian beer. It might be useful to allow groups to have more than one room key. We coped with having one room key between two of us though and it wasn't a problem at all.

Pros: really central (Brugge is small though), friendly staff Cons: the hostel is inside a bar/pub so there is not good atmosphere for meeting travellers, the pub is kind of fancy serving for everyone. The rooms does not have enough sockets, kitchen facility is lacking.
Very nice place, with a crazy night life. High recommended if you are young and full of energy.
The showers were a bit hard to control but OK once sorted, beds comfortable, had lockers and staff really helpful and nice. It is a city centre location and so there was a lot of noise from people and traffic on the street, but that wasn't their fault. Breakfast basic toast/jam/coffee but only €3 so very cheap for Bruges! Very good value for money overall.
It was what you paid for. The rooms were pretty small and weren't cleaned daily. There was no aircon so it was extremely hot. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it did the job. Was in a good location near the city square. You get what you pay for with this one
very good hostel, but the lady of the staff was not very nice, there is not a lot of good atmosphere, it is just a nice room with good view
Nice hostel! Rooms were quite small and there is the bar downstairs, so it's probably not a good choice if you want to get a good nights sleep as it can be quite loud. But I enjoyed my stay there!
Excellent location just off the main square. Clean comfy room and good amount of showers and toilets so never had to wait. Only downsides were no lockers in room, and 4€ for breakfast which was just toast - bit of a rip off. But otherwise had a great stay!
Very nice people very sweet hostel and prices is good

Very disapointed with this hostel as a whole. I would say the only ok thing about the hostel is the location, however Bruges is not a very big place so I'm sure most of the hostels are located quite near the centre. Currently traveling Europe and staying in hostels and this is definitely the worst yet by far, I would not recommend it to anyone. It is dull, not clean, bad atmosphere, basically no facilities. Once again do not stay here.
Hostel was good, the staircase was a bit narrow to be walking up with a backpack. The showers were awful though. You had to hold down the button in order for the water to work, making it extremely difficult to shower! Wifi was a bit iffy, and they constantly asked you to check in on Facebook to use their wifi which was not appreciated
Worried bout the bar underneath the rooms, but didnt bother me at all. Breakfast was good and rooms clean Just be ready to walk some tight staircases
Close to city center, far from train station. Located above a really cool but very noisy bar. Breakfast is extra and a rip off, 4 euros for toast, cereal and coffee. Beer at the bar is reasonably priced. To get to your room you need to go through a labyrinth of mystery doors and narrow, steep, winding stairs. Showering facilities are garbage; low flow shower head and single push button on a timer to get water. Washroom is as big as a broom closet. Staff is nice.
The place is nice and the staff were polite. However, I did not get any sleep at all the night I stayed there as there were drunken people on the streets making noise till 3-5am. At some point, they even threw glass bottle on our window. Other than that, there were also a lot of booming noises from nearby. Hence, I did not get any sleep at all.
