Great place, ideal for it's location. Log fires, book cases, a great view of Ben Nevis and great staff. The ideal place for tranquillity and peace of mind. Great for mountaineers and backpackers who need a break from the speed of the major cities.
The one thing we liked was the great staff! Thanks Ian for the wonderful info. Other than that, rooms were freezing cold, it's far from Fort William centre (so better have a car!) and they charge extra for EVERYTHING at the hostel. 17 £ per person for a shared dorm should include internet access and breakfast. DO NOT EAT THEIR BREAKFAST - 3 pounds for moldy bread (yes! It had green spots all over), some cereal and juice. Not worth it at all. Bring your own food - they have an awesome kitchen!
One AWESOME hostel, only about 5 min away from CBD. Bus stop only a 2 min walk away, 45 bus is all ya need. We really loved this bewdiful hostel, clean, quiet & the best staff ever, Ian & Jan were just amazing to us, made us feel right at home here ..... Internet worked like a dream, big comfortable rooms, lockers available for 2P. Lots of power plugs in rooms, showers had excellent hot water all the time. Great kitchen to cook ya own meals too! Once again thanks Ian & Jan
When many rooms are empty, it would be nice if the beds would be allocated evenly .
