The hostel ist located in a residential area which is a pro as it's not crowed or noisy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities, especially the the bathroom are a big con: one shower wasn' working, another bathtub had quite some traces of usage. The Wi-Fi worked only in the community area and was of extra charge with limits on one device only for two hours and the amount of data tranferred.

To tell the truth, it wasn't my worst hostel experience ever, but frankly, it was the worst of my Scotland holidays (even though the others were all cheaper in comparison). I suppose it's just the sum of a lot of small things that bothered me: e.g. it's far outside - no shops close (even though the staff tells you it's LITERALLY just a 5 mins walk - it's not), WiFi is quite the rip off (£2 for 2h or 60MB), .... Staff is trying their best though which makes up for some of it.

Wonderful place, staff was very friendly, i was there to climb Ben Nevis and the staff even helped plan my trip to the isle of Skye and provided information on which places to visit and how to get there. i would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone who's going to Fort William. If i ever go back to Fort William Chase The Wild Goose is definitely where i will stay.

I love this hostel! You have to pay for wifi and breakfast but they are both a really good deal so I didn't feel like they were trying to rip me off. The staff was definitely the best - they really go all out to make you feel comfortable and design the best plans for exploring the area.

I had a wonderful stay for 3 nights at this hostel. The room and facilities were very clean. Ian was extremely friendly and warm. All the information he shared of the surroundings helped a lot.

Very nice hostel! There is a large kitchen area and dinning room, individual bathrooms and warmth through out the whole hostel. Ian was very helpful and the online booking system worked spot on.

We had an excellent stay at Chase the wild Goose. We were given great advice about climbing Ben Nevis, and after we had completed it we had a great place to chill out and relax.

My last stop upon the West Highland Way and what a fantastic place to end my trip! The staff were helpful and very friendly and the hostel had such a relaxing atmosphere. Met some lovely people just at the beginning of their West Highland Way journey which, of course, led to a great night at a nearby pub to celebrate and a great nights sleep. Hostel was nice and warm in the morning, you wouldn't of guessed it was frosty outside! My only disappointment was that there was no Wild Goose to chase!
