I might say location is good enough, the hostel is right within Buenos Aires' tourist circuit and it's a taxi, metro or bus away from the other cool places in town. I got to try one of their "asada" hosted by the staff here. The rooms and people were fantastic. Excellent choice.

Stayed in a mixed room which overlooked to the hostel's backyard and it was really fun because of the social reunions at night. Had a great time here!

It was very good and very diverse, there are people from different parts of the globe. Facilities were fairly nice and functional, location was fantastic quite close to the subway and main city landmarks. I recommend Che Lagarto.

I think location couldn't be better, San Telmo is full of foreigners which was great to make friends in and out of the hostel. The staff is hard working and fun. Cheap pricing.

The atmosphere is very open minded, quite popular hostel. There's all kind of activity at night at the pub, you get to meet lots of people to hang out with. Breakfast is included and the prices are really cheap. A little bit loud at night.

It's very enjoyable and comfortable. They have internet service and bar area which was great. I wasn't too crazy about location though.

The music at the bar was so loud all day (and night). Only have dinner, no food along the day. No space to read a book or watch a movie. Only one computer for everyone. The first room (on the 3rd floor) had tiny beds and the WC was mixed but the toilet doors didnt close properly. The second room was ok. Not enough lockers for everyone. No activities. For me, it seemed more a bar with rooms than an hostel! San Telmo doesnt have anything special apart from the sunday market.

The room was ready and available when I got there, exactly what I paid for. The staff is very welcoming and the hostel is very positive too. The common areas are great to relax and have fun.

Horrible! the person who greeted us was not less than 1 hour preparing the check in, a real inept. We had a discount card but they never did, they said that the contract price by Hostelword already had included a discount, we`re not stupid. There is no security in the rooms (without key), the pingpong table was not working because they had no balls. We had booked 2 nights but luckily we only stayed 1.

There were bedbugs in a couple of rooms we were in. The people did try help by putting us in a different room and washing all our stuff but this did not help. Kitchen was dirty and bathrooms smelly. Staff were friendly and the wheelchair access was OK.

This' been a great experience. The staff is very warm and helpful, they gave me lots of great tips to sightsee. The bar area is amazing as the people keep it cool. Inexpensive rooms compared with other hostels close by.

Great location. Only two computers, which were always occupied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. 8 bed dorm was clean and spacious with 2 separate bathrooms which was great! Major downfall was noise level too high and constant from common area. Music started at breakfast and continued till late at night. So if your looking for a quiet hostel, not the place for you. But overall, good value for money!

I think this hostel is the best, maybe it's all about the location, San Telmo is a great area for tourists, yet the building itself looks pretty good in and out. Good choice to stay in Buenos Aires.

Hostel had a bar and seemed like a party hostel, though the party never started there, and the staff was not well informed abut parties around town. Good place to take a break of partying in Bs As.

Great staff, all friendly and helpful and bilingual. Kitchen needs some cooking equipment and the oven wasn't working. Close to the metro, various markets. There was a problem with my room, & we were all upgraded for the same price.
