Very noisy and not very clean. Staff clumsily try to make it a bit of a party hostel by playing loud 90’s tubes until late, but Buzios is small and all close by so no need for that, plenty of bars and clubs are just around the corner. All rooms are on common court so a lot of noise every night until 3/4am making it impossible to rest. Mostly south American crowds, so not many Anglophones. Nice breakfast but plenty of quieter hostels in Buzios, so I left ASAP. Avoid.
Good location and helpful staff (particularly Melissa) but hostel layout does not do you any favours if your room is close to the common area. No noise restrictions and no locks on the dorm doors. There were people checking in at all hours of the morning and people were partying in the common area until 2.30am. No hot water in showers and no change at reception.

This hostel is very close to the two main streets where are located all the good restaurants, bars and nightlife. I stayed in a mixed dorm with 12 beds, the dorm was clean, including the bathroom. There was a problem with the toilet but since we had communicated to the staff it was fixed quickly. The atmosphere is very nice, the hostel made karaokê, dinner.
