Party hostel. music goes on till 2 in the morning and at 6 in the morning the stuff is already at work preparing breakfast and cleaning making a lot of noise. Sleeping in this hostel is really impossible, the doors of the dorms look like one of a garage room. Location is good and stuff is friendly, they make a very nice atmosphere for partying, but nothing else. Tours and transfers booked at the hostel cost much more than if you book anywhere else.
I had a really good stay in this hostel. People from reception are lovely. It's just a little bit noisy. The hostel is really clean.

Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff, good (but not great) breakfast, location. Cons: WIFI which rarely works, cold showers, tiny rooms, dirty bathroom, dirty sheets.

I had a really good time in this hostel, the people that work there are really nice (the girls at the reception are pretty cute) The hostel is really close to the center of the town and only 1 block away from the bus station (which is pretty awesome!) The beds are comfy and the lockers big enough to fit 2 - 3 average backpacks The bartender makes really good Caipirinhas, so that's something you must try! The internet was alright but much better than other hostels. I'll be back!
Great hostel! Very clean and with a very good atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable.
I spent only one night and it was just okay. Maybe because anyone was there, it was to quiet. The location is good, only one block from the bus station and few blocks to the centre. The room was small and the wifi is really poor.
location is good, however there was a complete lack of atmosphere, there wasn't a main area guests could sit &meet people. You could only use the kitchen at certain times, and when i did go to cook, one of the people who worked there (he was a cook & Bar man) was quite rude, &sarcastic. He was getting annoyed when I asked him where the plates + cutlery were & he was not friendly, and didn't speak at all, I found it rude. The girls at the desk very friendly but no knowledge on buzios at all.
They made everything that should have been easy difficult. They refused to give me the 10% discount that every Che lagarto advertises everywhere if you stay in more than one. Rude staff. I will never stay at a Che lagarto again.
The place is good, however I found those ones at Paraty and Lima way better! They didn't really have information about tours and so, just recomendations about the beaches, which at least for me had checked on internet before traveling, so their information is not really usefull
Except from the internet that sucks, everything else in the hostel is perfect! Great location, the staff is really cool, everything works clockwise at Che Lagarto Buzios... I will definitely come back!
Very noisy and not very clean. Staff clumsily try to make it a bit of a party hostel by playing loud 90’s tubes until late, but Buzios is small and all close by so no need for that, plenty of bars and clubs are just around the corner. All rooms are on common court so a lot of noise every night until 3/4am making it impossible to rest. Mostly south American crowds, so not many Anglophones. Nice breakfast but plenty of quieter hostels in Buzios, so I left ASAP. Avoid.
Good location and helpful staff (particularly Melissa) but hostel layout does not do you any favours if your room is close to the common area. No noise restrictions and no locks on the dorm doors. There were people checking in at all hours of the morning and people were partying in the common area until 2.30am. No hot water in showers and no change at reception.
Che Buzios** great great staff!! i had a wonderful stay, love everything about this hostel!!

This hostel is very close to the two main streets where are located all the good restaurants, bars and nightlife. I stayed in a mixed dorm with 12 beds, the dorm was clean, including the bathroom. There was a problem with the toilet but since we had communicated to the staff it was fixed quickly. The atmosphere is very nice, the hostel made karaokê, dinner.
Pretty quiet whilst I was there so not much of an atmosphere. Breakfast was normal for Brazil, bread, ham, cheese etc. Rooms were good and clean, also has a pool which is nice in the heat. Close to main beach but better beaches a short bus ride away and bus stop is just around the corner.
Nice and clean place, with large dorms. We booked a dorm for 12 persons and was very satisfied when we discovered that the we had two separate bedroom, for 6 persons in each room. The hostel was very quiet and there was not much going on in the evening, a bit disappointing. The location is great, near the bus station and near the city centre. Beakfast was poor, sugar overload consisting of jam, white bread, cakes, chocolate and two types of melon.
Our 5 bed dorm was right next to the common area: very noisy. The STAFF made a lot of noise in the night and early dawn. Security was poor. We had a bracelet to get in the hostel, but our dorm didn´t have a key. While we were in the common area people went in our dorm 3 times. During the night a guy oppened the door and peeked inside. The reservation made by hostelworld dind´t register in the hostel, but there were beds available. The toilet flush kept running all night long making noise.

Very nice hostel and a great setup. The only downside for our visit was that we went in off-season and there weren't that many people there. However, definitely has lots of potential. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful.
Facilities are good but there was no atmosphere whatsoever. Staff were not very helpful besides outlining the basics in the map the first day. The kitchen is closed most of the evening so we couldn't cook, unless it was really early before dinner. The pool is tiny and always in the shade, don't be mislead by the pictures.
Very good hostel, also the room! the staff were great! i really recommend this hostel! i definetly will come back again, just you need to pay 5 real for internet and if you're in a group all of them must pay!. even i'm not interested to use it.
