I gave a score of average because the kitchen is so badly equipped. firstly you must pay a deposit of 30pesos for the use of a plastic plate and utensils but this was not a major problem. All pots and pans were so bad dented and battered and not even a handle. i had to use a dirty dish cloth to lift the hot pans while cooking. i was here for 3 days using the same dirty cloth and there was barely even washing up liquid to clean up after myself. i found this a big problem.

We had a great stay here. Breakfast was really good staff always on hand. Plenty of faciltlies. Would definatly recommend to others. The only bad thing is they should really have locked door on fire escape anyone could walk in if they wanted.

Beautiful place. I stayed in a bedroom with 12 beds. The beds were very clean and good linen. Hostel is only 3 blocks from the main street and 15 minutes from the bus station. Good breakfast. The only problem was the bathroom. They often don't replace the toilet paper. There are only three showers for something like 20 people. Good place to stay and very cheap price.

The hostel is very cheap but that is its only redeeming feature. The staff are incredibly rude & unfriendly, & when we booked our bus to el chalten with them they told us we had to return to el calafate in order to get a bus to bariloche, which is not true! We could have gone straight there, so this cost us a lot more money, & they were completely unapologetic. There is never any toilet paper in any of the bathrooms, there are only tiny lockers in the corridors, and the kitchen is horrendous.

The hostel kitchen was a complete joke with 3 forks, a knife and 2 glasses. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and the showers wouldn't drain so the overflow would go into the dorms. The breakfast was awful inless you like brownie cake. The computers didnt work. However the two boys at the front were extremely helpful. Only good part in my opinion.

A sanitary, banal look about the place. White-washed walls everywhere. Not the most helpful staff in the world. But, everything there is expensive, in Patagonia. See Perito Moreno, then get up to El Chalten! It's much better. The mountain walks are unbelievable. And the National Park is free in Chalten (100 pesos for most nationalities in El Calafate).

Poor kitchen. Unfriendly staff. Too big, few people. More like a hotel, not a hostel.

Nice place. Bit impersonal because of the size. Internet connection was terribly bad.. For the rest: everything you need, not too much more.

Really like the hostel, spacious, good facilities and a decent breakfast. One problem, sort the Internet out.... It was so frustrating, not even the computers worked - wifi and USB connectors!!

I found the hostel pretty uncomfortable. there wasnt that nice atmosphere because it just seemed to big. The kitchen was aweful they had nearly nothing. Just 2 plates, forks and knives for I dont know how many people. plus it was bit dirty in the kitchen. We also had a lot of problems with the reservation through the internet and the paying. All in all its ok to stay there, the rooms are quiet nice and you have a lot of space. but the other stuff wasnt that good then expected.

I was only there for one night and arrived pretty late. I was told I didnt have a booking but it was sorted out pretty quickly. The hostel is nice and the breakfast is good. The bathroom in my dorm was pretty dirty but there were 12 people using it. Good location near the town and lake
