Che Lagarto Hostels is the first chain of hostels in South America with 15 years experience. We have over 20 hostels in 5 countries.

We are located at Rua Barata Ribeiro, 111- Rio de Janeiro; in the south in one of the busiest areas of Rio de Janeiro, just a few blocks from the beach and one block from the subway (station Cardeal Arcoverde). We're surrounded by banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, money exchange, shopping and are less than 30 minutes from major tourist spots and nightclubs in the city.

Directions to hostel:
From International Airport: a transfer can be hired through the hostel reception. Another option is to take the bus 2018 (Via Orla da Zona Sul) and get off at Atlantic Avenue 1500, in front of the hotel Porto Bay, corner of Rua Duvivier. Walk down the Rua Duvivier, about 3 blocks, to Rua Barata Ribeiro, where we are.

From Santos Dumont Airport: a transfer can be hired through the reception of the hostel. Another option is to take the Bus 415, 413 or 474 in Copacabana direction and get off at Rua Barata Ribeiro 111, our hostel.
From the bus terminal (Rodoviária Novo Rio): a transfer can be hired through the reception of the hostel. Another option is to take the Bus 126, 127 or 128 to the metro station chamada Arcoverde, one block from the hostel
