The staff is really good and hard working. The meals are very cheap and tasty. Good find for the money.

The room was ready and available when I got there, it was all nice and clean. No complaints here.

Perfect location, kind friendly staff. The atmosphere is very nice, there are people partying and some minding their own business. Great place to get by.

Staff was not always very helpful, showers / toilets constantly kept breaking and some of the advertised facilities are very poor. There is no laundry and the bikes for rent barely work.

Pros: Fantastic location, right in the heart of everything worth doing and seeing in Montevideo. Good clientele, very safe, just make sure you bring a pad lock for the locker. It does quiet down in the evening so you can get some rest. Cons: Cleanliness left something to be desired. Showers in the bathroom barely worked. When I first arrived there were no toilet seats on the toilets. Staff could be more attentive, and in some cases polite. They could do a better job organizing outings.

The staff is the star here, they are very energetic and lots of fun to be with. I really enjoyed spending time in the zone, the chill out zone is what they call it. Wonderful hostel for a cheap price.

What a messy hostel! When I arrived, I noticed that they didn't have the room I booked and the first option the staff girl gave me was to leave the hostel!! Even being a hostel's mistake, she has been very rude with me. The same happened with another couple who arrived later. Some staff guys were very nice and polite, but two girls (a black hair and a blond one) were rude and always in a bad mood! The facilities are a bit spoiled, as "ugly" as the Montevideo city. I wouldn't stay there again.

The location is great, but the disposal of the rooms (specially the center room) and the common area creates an acoustic box where all the sounds reverberate!! Result: My girlfriend and I couldn't sleep until 5 AM, as there was a group of brazilian partying and the hostel crew was unable to do anything, although we did complain... On the next day, we were lucky that there was a couple leaving and we got their room, but damage from the night before was already made.

There are only three good things about that hostel, localization, the staffs and the atmosphere (all because the wonderfull staff). In general, the bedroom are VERY small and the bathroom are terrible.

The building is very old and has not been reformed for the last 10000 years. The prices are far expensive for what they offer. Old noisy rooms and old toilets. Did not like it at all. Avoid if possible.

Wifi never worked, very poor breakfast, small rooms, some without locks. But the worst thing was probably the organisation had no control or information about the rooms and guests. They double booked and people were moving to different rooms every day.

Location on the main plaza is unbeatable, however almost every time we returned to the hostel, the main front door was open so anyone could enter - we had a private room, our door was lockable, but not sure what the dorms situation would be... We were going to have a drink in the bar one night....but they had no wine....and the cocktail option fell through as they had no ice....so we went to a pub instead. I can't not mention the boobs...reception girls - they need stronger bras / higher tops

Positives - good location, private rooms available and big open areas to mingle. Negatives - bathrooms were pretty bad. They were unclean, stinky and the locks were broken. The staff was not the most helpful and seemed to lack in the realm of hospitality (which I probably shouldn't really expect at a hostel). The lock that was given to us to lock our room went missing within the couple of hours and the reception didn't have any answers for it telling us that we could go buy a lock ourselves.

This hostel should be nice thanks to the beautiful building and the central location but we were unpleased with our stay. For the first we booked a 4-bed dorm, but needed to split up, so 3 of us stayed in a very small room without windows and 1 of us were forced to live in a storage room where they put in some matrasses. In the 4-bed dorm different persons moved in and out every night, but we couldn´t stay there all 4 of us even though we asked and other guests offered to move in to the storage.
