Same quality as other lagarto hostels. Great staff and pretty good location. Just small things could have made it a lot better. Shelves for top bunks so you can put some stuff on and it not fall off and power points that work. Also some soap in bathrooms!

Great place to meet people and get a feel for the island and all it has to offer. Definitely more of a louder, party vibe, but not so much that you can't sleep. In a good location close to first beach and food, and great access to Gamboa at low tide. Staff were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly!

The hostel is pretty clean, conveniently located, a party hostel, and offers a great hostel breakfast. It's a wonderful place for budget travelers who want to meet a lot of other travelers because this place is pretty large and they really pack you in there. The wifi is dependable 90% of the time. One down side is that when you arrive the staff isn't overly communicative about the island, the restaurants, or things to do. It's up to you to ask them or other travelers for recommendations.

Great location, nice, friendly staff, good communal area with table tennis. Only issue was the 6 bed female dorm was a little crammed for 6 females sharing!

A good hostel in Morro de São Paulo. Very friendly staff and a nice social atmosphere. The dorm rooms and ensuite bathrooms are quite cramped, but otherwise the facilities are quite nice. A good base to explore the island for a few days.

Not bad, more expensive than the others but a bit nicer in general, well cleaned good for single beds, however for a couple there are much better options for a private room, walk up the road to Reggae or check for so local pousadas, especially in the off season.

A fun hostel in good location & friendly staff. Check out the less-crowded beaches on the way toward Gamboa (walk downhill from the hostel and follow signs to the right for Gamboa). Our only complaints were that the private room was a little small, and when we booked a boat tour, we soon found that we could have got a better price buying it from locals who sell the tours on the Main Street. I understand the hustle, especially in Brasil, but usually you trust the hostel for the best price.
