Ilha is great- Che not so much. It would be great if they pick up the trash heap in the back of the hostel as it smells, there is only one usually broken computer for two hostels. The location of this hostel was a little off the beaten path. However, the hostel staff was great- knowledgeable and able to offer tips and advice. Our only issue was that our air conditioner didn't work and we were eaten alive by buys keeping the window open. It's a cute place with a nice view of the water. Nice location, but somewhat hard to reach. Got 'interesting' x-rate of U$ to R$, which drives prices high if wanna pay in R$. Got minor issue in room (water dripping), but got well compensated. Nice and helpful staff, good entertaining, but only sweet for breakfast. :-( Recommended.Nice location, but somewhat hard to reach. Stayed all over Brazil and this was the worst-mould all over the ceiling,cleaners left the door wide open when we left it locked,staff played really loud music every morning from about 9.30 and didn't even greet us when we arrived.Oh and they gave us wrong info about a tour. The location is good, great view of the beach, but I wasn't informed about the problem with credit card on the reservation or at the check in(there's no bank in the island), and had to change to a different place. They had a room available but it would appear that if anyone does book on hostelworld it works on a first come first served basis. They do not refund the deposit either. The staff especially the girl working behind reception was rude and does not know customer service. There was an issue with the price also and we left.
