Friendly and helpful staff with loads to do. Bar and common room area has a great atmosphere which is probably a little more chilled than the Copacabana Che Lagarto. Showers had ok water pressure and were warmish - but overall this hostel is value for money considering the location.

Very cool hostel. Good for partying. Adviceable if you like big hostels and being surrounded by people. Many activities for nightlife.

The hostel is excelent. It is in a great location, dorms, bathrooms, kitchen, computer room are all very good, they organize lots of different tours, sight seeing and parties, and the environment is perfect for getting to know the people staying there and making new friends. The staff is really friendly, willing to help out with anything and they all speak portuguese and english.

This hostel is quite amazing. The staff was very kind and they got to organize a couple of events at night. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. I'd come back here.

Staff were unhelpful

On the whole, it´s a good hostel, the staff know how create a good time. One thing to mention however, is that the hostel front door is never locked. Location is awesome, a minute walk to the beach and surrounded by decent nearby bars.

I have a good time at this hostel. The rooms are, the common areas are good also and it is really fun. The staff organizes activities every night, so if you travel on your self you will have a good time. The location is great, near the beach and at a very safe neighborhood.

Very conveniently located and brilliant staff. If you're still 18 and up for a big night, perfect...if you're 31 and after some sleep, not so good....

Hostel is great location near Ipanema beach and shops. Only one key to room is a bit annoying and swipe key access would be better and safer. Lots of backpackers around and people to talk to, party atmosphere at night. Vinnie on front desk was super helpful, and made me feel very welcome and at home. 10 bed dorm somewhat noisy facing onto street, and one bed near aircon very loud. Free internet (wifi and computers) is good, as is breakfast. Good hostel.

Fun, cheerful environment. The bar is outstanding and the staff knows how to throw a party over here!

This place is fantastic. Just a short stroll to Ipanema beach, with all ammenties very close. The staff helped me book my flights and accom for my next dinstination and were were firendly and sociable all the time. The city tour, favella tour and soccer match (which was insane) where good value with informative tour guides. Activites every night and good drink/dinner deals. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

Too noisy all the day, not a relaxing place at all. Drunk and smoked people all the time.

Well run hostel in great location. A noisy bar around reception area may keep you awake! Overall good. Near to bus stops. Would recommend.

The worst hostel we've been during our trip. Some hidden cost (5R$) for everyone during check-in, then other hidden cost (I don't know for what?) for booking a additional trips. Then there wasn't a water for a whole day... Staff members weren't helpful at all. For this money you could find other hostel in Rio.

NOT VERY GOOD. Although most of the staff were helpful and the location to the beach is great, the hostel overall is poor and you can find better. The air conditioning only comes on late at night and is poor, meaning if you want a lie-in be prepared to sweat! Really uncomfortable. The outings run by the hostel are generally average and tend to be a rip-off. They charged us R$60 to go on a boat trip only to find people who turned up on there own were charged R$20!

Not the best hostel. Being a chain they have a certain standard to meet. Unfortunately this is not set too high. OK if you just want to get drunk and not see Rio. Staff don't really know specifics other than where to drink and try to push their overpriced meals and tours / transfers on you. Rooms are small. Kitchen is only open for 3 hours a day. Security is minimal. There has to be better options out there. Look around and don't stay here unless you have to.
