The reception was so unfriendly and unhelpful. The ventilator (there is no air condition) wasn't working, and it was hot as hell! Fire the reception guys, make some more room inside the room, and fix the ventilator- and you'll get more from me. The location is the only possitive thing, it was great!

Che were brilliant - I was ill when we arrived and they found me a place to sleep until we could check in. Kitchen can be slightly lacking, but just ask for cutlery and plates and stuff from the other kitchen, it's fine. Brilliant breakfast, comfy beds, quiet rooms.

Cool hostel right at the beach and near restaurants and bars.

The hostel itself is amazing and it is located in an excelent place in Salvador. The staff is terrible. Not friendly at all, not well prepared, they are terrible to give information, tips and suggestions. They don't organize well parties, dinners and things for people to do together at the hostel, so it's hard to interact and meet friends. I've been to Che Lagarto in Ipanema and in Che Lagarto in Morro de São Paulo, both amazing with amazing staff. I was really disappointed in Salvador.

I was really disappointed by this Hostel as Che Lagarto talk themselves up quite a bit and aren't the cheapest Hostels getting around. This place was in a good location - ridiculously expensive to get to in a taxi from the airport - but quite close to restaurants and right across from the beach. The Hostel staff were the best thing about the place - they were extremely helpful! Downside BED BUGS - two private rooms and we all got BED BUGS!! AVOID THIS PLACE - SO MANY OTHERS TO CHOOSE FROM!!!
