We enjoyed out stay but the toilets smelt really really bad and the toilet seat cover never stayed up so you have to keep hold of it.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Great common area, and amazing dinners!

Small room, dirty bathroom, lot of mosquitoes, moldy sheet, noisy air conditioning. The price is not compatible with the service offered. Finally, the amount due in R$ did not match the actual value in US$. I know better hostels in Paraty.

Great place to stay, funny staff, a lot of activities and things to do.. I hope to come back.. :)

I liked to stay at this hostel a lot and would definitely recommend it! Its not far away from the historic center, they have excellent dinners and you get to meet a lot of travellers there. We couldnt stay long enough for joining any tours, but the transfer to Ilha Grande was really helpful!

The hostel is awesome, the staff is great, mostly Amelie and Jesica, they were extremely helpful and the atmosphere is incredible!!!!

nice atmosphere, helpfull staff, especially the argentinian Jesica! every night they have different dinner for everyone(and a free caipirinha)that is great and allow you to meet new friends! not far from the bus station.

A warning: Unfortunately far from everything the staff tells you is true. A simple example of this is the non-working internet which the staff tells you is a problem for all Paraty - which it isn't. The big problem though is that they list the prices in USdollars but ask for payment in reals - At a completely different exchange rate that what you see on Hostelworld. A somewhat fraudulent behavior where they don't tell you that you can and "should" pay in USdollars to get the price you thought.

This was a great hostel. Room was very comfortable except our shower was not working. But they were really good about seeing to this immediately and in a very friendly way. I also lost my wallet at a bar the night before and the hostel staff was truly amazing about helping me to locate it (which I ultimately did). Excellent location, really great staff and great value for money. They've also got a good vibe and a great hangout location if you want to hang around their place.

Positive: A very nice place and great opportunity to meet people, especially at the big table in front of the hostel next to the bar (great caipirinhas!) - a nice place to hang out. The staff is friendly and helpful. We all went to a christmas party at the beach and there were various dinner nights at the hostel- the food was better and cheaper than at a restaurant. Negative: Lockers outside of the rooms, internet almost never worked, bathrooms could be cleaner/better equipped, rooms get hot

WOW.The staff are very friendly, hostel is in a great location, bar is great, very easy to meet people, excursions are reasonably priced, well run and very enjoyable. This barman's special caiparinha is worth a try and the food every night is great value and very sociable. Thanks guys great stay.

Staff and travellers were great. They put on dinners which are good value, and its an excellent place to meet people. The tours they organize are too expensive (except the boat tour), and in some cases, essentially unnecessary as you can get there on your own. Couple minors issues is they charge for everything (i.e. pool table, fos ball) and the cleaning staff didn~t lock the door after they were done. However great hostel overall.

The staff is very cool, the place is quiet and neat. I liked it here.

Fantastic food, Jimmy the chef cooks up all sorts of treats including Indian and Mexican and the portions are massive so perfect if you have been living on rice and hot sauce!! good location and great atmosphere with cheap drinks at the bar and they make travel to ilha Grande and Rio so easy with an inhouse transfer service and drop you at your hostel in Rio so no having to mess about at the Bus depot. Had a blast wish we could have stayed longer.

Great hostel. Staff was brilliant. The nightly dinners were great and a real value for money. I would highly recommend this hostel.

This hostel is a nice place to relax for a few days. Whilst there were a number of issues (internet / credit card facilities on the blink and door jamming) this did not deter from the brilliant time we had here. The food is amazing- especially the all you can eat bbq. There are a number of tours that you can do through the hostel- which appear to be good value.

Nice hostel, good for meeting people, the dinner they sell is very good.
