the hostel´s page promissed a pool but there was none. otherthen this serious missleading fact, the place was nice, but very quite and empty
Cleanliness was terrible. There was dust all over the dorm. We were apprehensive to book this hostel because of the negative reviews and decided to book because it seemed a busier place and we thought there would be more of an atmosphere and opportunity to meet other people. This could not have been further form the truth. There was about 20 hyperactive young kids (maybe 12 to 14 years of age) and definitely not the appropriate environment for them. Breakfast consists a basket of stale bread!
Very unfriendly hostel with staff not even caring about guests..no info offered about the town and even when pushed they just threw a map across the desk. Rooms were clean on the centre bit of the floor but anything not visible from the door was covered in thick layer of dust. Bar played loins music until 3 am even tho no one was there! Only stayed 1 night but was 1 night too many!
I came here alone, which was not really a good idea since there were only groups of Argentines coming for a weekend, which made it hard to connect to other travelers. Stayed in a room with 12 beds and no lockers (although they gave me one after asking), but there was no room at all to store anything. The staff was really nice but they didn´t really know anything to do in the city, even though there is not much to do.. Kitchen was poorly equiped. Showers were not working really well.
Private room we had could be done with a freshen up- fix the broken blind, fix the loose floorboards and maybe clean it. Breakfast was appalling; pre-toasted stale bread, 2 jams, watered down coffee, one day there was one cereal, the next none. We went to the bakery next door, we would have preferred breakfast to be an option in the price and had a lower room price.
The dorm smelt horribly and featured a whole right in the middle of the floor. Near the window, there were dead cigarrettes and dove feathers. Because I have asthma, I complained with the person in charge, who said there was no such smell. She nearly dumped us when we insisted. Very very bad experience. It surprised it is recommended by LP, maybe it was alright the last time they had that dorm exposed to fresh air.
