Even though it was quiet season, this was one of my favourite hostels in South America. Very close to bus station, 15 minute walk to main square but in a very nice area and only five minutes away from nice restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and allowed us to use room after check-out cz it was quiet. Football table good quality, tv and bar in lounge area and music playing. Only negative was that it was quiet at times but that's not hostels fault (winter), but the staff came out with us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Che Salguero. The staff were really nice and accommodating, they let us leave our bags and use the facilities to cook before our night bus ride. The dorms rooms are nice, spacious and have good sized lockers available. Great breakfast- nice to have crepes and fruit instead of the stock standard white bread and jam :)

The hostel was great, the location was perfect, close to the main terminal, an awesome park and shops and bars. The staff particurlarly were great, very helpful and friendly, there were always people around to create a great atmosphere. I loved my time here!! Oh and the crepes in the morning, need I say more!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They joined people in the happy hours and were always available to help. About the infrastructure, the 3 bed room where I was lodged looked improvised. The door was in bad condition. The floor looked like being rebuilded. The lockers' hinges were broken. The other dorms must be in better condition.

The room you stayed in was the old caretakers residence. It is unique with an old brick floor, but comfortable, has the most room per person, the most privacy and no bunk beds. The door has a small crack in it (rowdy guest) was repaired long ago and was fully functional and secure. The lockers under the bed are hinged at the bottom and a lock will keep the doors in place. Without being locked they can be sensitive to being bumped open on their own. I am glad you enjoyed your stay!

I woke up at 9:30 and there was no bread left and the "amazing creps" as well. Beside the nice staff and the good location next to the park, this hostel is not something special at all. The Wi Fi is a bit slow sometime. No atmosphere.

We are very sorry you were disappointed. I can address each of your concerns. Your last morning with us you approached staff wanting breakfast at 10:30 just as we were clearing away the breakfast items. We left cereals and a large bowl with several dfferent types of fruit for you. The fresh bread & our crepes are very popular. Our semi-residential location prevents us from being a non-stop party house that some want, Wifi speed can vary at times with the demand of 30 or more guests and staff. DJ

This hostel is very friendly and clean (and the location is just perfect). There are delicious crepes (pancakes) for breakfast (as well as fruit). It may get loud at night, which is a minus point if you have to wake up early the next day to work or study but a plus point if you are relaxed and enjoy having a good time with nice people. I had a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay! We met so many interesting people there. There are crepes for breakfast so that was also a major bonus. We did lots of day trips so it was perfect how close the hostel was to the bus station.

I initially booked just one night in the hostel but ended up staying for a week because I enjoyed it so much. The layout of the hostel is great, we ate asado and pollo al disco in the garden in the back. The location is great and so are the staff meaning the atmosphere of the hostel is perfect if you want to meet people, have some drinks and have a good time. Also the pancakes for breakfast were delicious.

Friendly staff, fairly close to the bus station (although I had trouble with the directions - it's a lot quicker to exit the bus station from the top floor and walk over the bus parking area). Rooms were comfortable enough. The hostel could do with a makeover as it feels a bit tired.

This is a great hostel. As others have said, it is in a great location, a short walk from the bus station and within easy walking distance to the city center, museums, and parks. Dale, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. Every morning he makes two different types of crepes (which are always delicious!) to go along with fresh fruit and cereal. The rest of the staff (the volunteers) were also great and fun to talk to. Sometimes everyone makes dinners together. Would definitely come again!

I loved my time here. In only one night, I managed to talk to so many different people... The staff is really integrated in the hostel community, and they even made an asado for everyone to join together. The rooms are really clean as well as the toilets. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hostel is nicely located near the bus station, so it was an easy walk when we arrived. It also has a lot of shop, museums, etc near by. Also directly across the street there is a large park which is a nice place to spend a day just lazying around. The Hostel is mostly run by volunteer who are also traveler so they understand and try to be as helpful as possible when you come on through. Also the manger, Dale, has lots of suggestion on what you can do in the area and is always willing to help

Lovely owner and hostel. Felt like home. Very safe, left my things in common areas without any problems. Great bbq when I was there. Very social

I booked for 5 nights, stayed 8 and i could have stayed longer. All the staff and Dale, who has in the last year taken over, are great. Breakfast is fantastic with 2 types of pancakes each day. Location right near the bus station is good as you will want to catch buses for day trips out to surrounding towns, and only a short walk to get to most places of interest in the city. The hostel has a great social vibe with a bar, foosball, table tennis & great common areas. It is safe, secure and clean

Nice hostel close to the bus station in nice area by the park. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The crepes for breakfast were great. Comfortable room and nice hammock area with garden at the back. Nice hot showers and a large bathroom.

I was expecting a bit more. The hostel is well rated but I think they should improve some things.

Your comments are a little vague so I am not sure what your unspoken concerns are. Very low in security - is very puzzling. Our front door is always locked. Everyone has to be let in the front door by staff, Our entire hostel yard is completely surrounded by walls at least 6 meters high, we provide lockers in every room to secure any personal items, We provide locks to rent or buy if the guest has no lock. I´ve managed the hostel for 9 months, not had one guest that has had anything stolen.

A very loud and noisy hostel. People were partying until 6am and the reception did not tell them to calm down a bit. Beds are comfortable.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your comments. We are more than happy to provide rooms that are farther away from the common areas if guests let us know when they check in. Guests may congregate in the outdoor patio near that room for late night conversations and I am very sorry that they disturbed your sleep. Our staff are aware of your concerns and we will be more proactive in the future.

Really close walk to the bus station: makes for easy day trips to the small towns outside the city of cordoba. Kitchen is well stocked. Breakfast includes crepes, fruit, and cereal. Helpful and accommodating staff, the manager, Dale, is a great guy. Small rooms, but a clean place.
