Overall, it is a good place for group of friends to come over stay together. Very helpful staff, cheap price and strategic location. It tooks only 15mins walking time to Patong Beach, 10 mins to Junceylon. Last but not least, dont forget to get yourself a mosquito repellent and the mosquito

I stayed for 2 nights and it was nice. There was no AC in the room and it was very hot. Good enough to sleep and take a shower. We could chill and relax coz it's not that close to the bars and they lend us a guitar. The staff was friendly

No security at all, the dorm was also used as a hallway from the kitchen to the restaurant. They didn't clean at all or change the sheets between different people.

This place was a good backpacker hostel. It's cheap - and you get what you pay more. The evronment created was pretty wonderful! :) The only thing that could've been better was that the beds were all very hard - so made for a difficult sleep.

It was fine, the room was almost on the street though with no lock on the door. you did get a locker, and i had no problems but maybe putting a lock on the doors would be an idea? nice hostel, you get what you pay for really. good for 200 baht

Look it's good cheap in the name so you can'y expect the ritz but I also didn't expect a North Korean prison camp. Beds just chucked randomly in the dorm, no aircon, I had no fan, mosquitoes everywhere. I had no locker either as the owner had "misplaced the keys" . Gregg, the owner is a really nice guy but a complete space cadet. If he was running a business anywhere but thailand i don't know how he would stay afloat.

Only stayed here for a night, so I can't really say, but I didn't even end up spending the night there! If you get a private room or AC room it may not be that bad, but I had the bottom floor room. They looked like hospital beds and the owner didn't even really know which bed was mine and in the morning someone else's stuff was on "my bed." Thought the bar upstairs would be awesome, but didn't see or hear anyone go up there. A little far from the bars/beaches if you want to stumble in drunk.

I cannot express just how much I enjoyed my time at Cheap Charlie's. Greg runs his business with an atmosphere of easygoing, carefree good times that is most welcome to any backpacker. I say this as, in my experience, not all hostels can claim to provide this. Greg would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it AND still give them somewhere to sleep. It was a crucial part of the reason that this week was such a fantastic holiday. Thanks for everything!

This place is very good. Not so close of the beach, its necessary to walk 10 to 20 minutes but its a cheap and cozy place. The backpackers who stays there have a good spirit. I recommend

Great place to stay whilst over in Phuket. I liked the company and the surrounding area which was not too far off where all the bars are and about a 15min walk to the beach. The little dog is very friendly and the bar staff are fantastic. Greg is awesome and os always available to assist with anything. Loads of bars and thrills along the road you won't miss a thing!!!

For Phuket this is a little gem, cheap and friendly. Away from the hustle and mayhem of downtown.

It's cheap and somewhat clean, that's about it. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to make a bed that slants upward with a mattress and pillow that feel like sand bags with the scent of a rotting gym sock. Then, you get a cover sheet the size of a large napkin. And how about putting in some ceiling fans or at least some individual bedside fans that put out some air, I can get more wind out of waving your brochure in my face.

This is a pretty honest place... It has Cheap in the name, so do not expect the best hostel you've ever stayed! In terms of value for money It was great! The beds are confortable and they have everything you need. The pick up at the airport can be very helpful, specially if u arrive at night. I just regret having booked a boat to phi phi there... The girl sold us a ticket for a turistic boat with stopovers and we had asked for a direct trip.
