This was first time staying in a Hostel. I was in Hong Kong for only 3 days. The Check Inn was close to MTR subway, as well as the ferry and Visa offices. It was clean the beds were nice and came with Linens. I really enjoyed my time in Check Inn and appreciated the great service.

Easy to find, ten minutes walk from metro station. Safe and quiet area at night. Our room was a bit narrow (triple) but lucikily the air conditioner was not very noisy. Staff is really nice and helpful, we could even buy our octopus transport card there. Would stay there again for sure.

Pros : good area to find cheap places to eat, close to the metro and a 7/11. Quite easy to meet people at the hostel if you're travelling alone Cons : I was in the deluxe female dorm, which had 8 people in and only one bathroom. Not very clean, the bathroom smelled and the cleaning lady doesn't seem to properly clean but just sprays water all over the place. Since everyone has to take off their shoes in the corridor, the common areas of the 13th floor often smell of feet.

I booked a deluxe dorm based on the photos on the website, but then found out there is another 'deluxe' room where the beds are stacked three high and didn't look as nice as the one in the pictures. While reception was on the third floor, this area was up on the 13th floor so it felt a bit isolated from the rest of the hostel and lacked atmosphere as a result. The common area was limited to one couch and a table, no TV. Not a horror show, at least it was very clean, but didn't really enjoy it.

6 nights turned into two weeks! Great atmosphere, super clean, great aircon and wifi. No real common area so people congregate outside room till early hrs but great way to meet everyone... Remember its a hostel not a Hotel. Wincent the owner is awesome and if he has spare time will take guests for activities e.g a group of us were taken wakeboarding. Can't recommend enough and will be back!

Check Inn hostel was amazing! Way better than a hotel!! Great community! Vincent is amazing and super nice. He has put in all the amenities you could possibly ask for: bottled water, free little things of crackers, guides to the best local restaurants, help to organize group activities, free computers to use, free WiFi, common spaces to hang out in, super clean facilities, and more!

Very good located and clean, every time there was a person cleaning the toilet and living room. Of course a small building but as all ones in HK i believe. The attention of the staff to help you is very good!!!

Hostel well located in the middle of Wan Chai, facilities are good, and the staff is super friendly and available - I came back a few days later because I'd forgotten something, and they were all very helpful. Would definitely stay there again! :)
