Very well located. Read the instructions on how to get in first! There's a free bus from the metro station, you don't have to pay an extra metro ticket to get there. Very clear instructions and warm welcome. The room was a little tight (I stayed in the 8 people mixed dorms), and I had the lower bed (that is - on the floor) Internet is strong, bathrooms are clean. Everything you would expect on a big city hostel.

It would have been better if there is complimentary coffee and tea in the hostel.

Great little with very helpful staff.

Stayed here for 3nights! Great location and very close to either the ferry pier or MTR station. Only thing I would say is it is not obvious where the hostel is without the precise address. There is no sign outside it and it looks like your about to walk into a random block of flats between two shops on a busy street. Wifi is brilliant there, the upkeep and cleanliness of the bathrooms is exceptional! Delighted with my choice and would 100% recommend it. Not much atmosphere tho.

Besides the fact that the lockers are pretty small, everything is quite perfect. Great environment, good location (food, MTR and very close to major activities) Double bedrooms are perfect, but the double-bed are quite basic. (i`ve been there twice) But, as a backpacker, this is definitely the best (or one of the best) choices you can make. And did a mention the staff?? They are perfect

Great place to stay in the center of Hong Kong. Nice rooms and a place to lock bags was a plus.

The Wan Chai location is great, just a few blocks away from tons of bars and restaurants. Rooms are tiny but I assume this is the same for all downtown Hong Kong hostels. The hostel is spread over several floors, multiple of which offer a common area where it's easy to meet fellow travellers. The cleaning lady was always cleaning something, the hostel is pretty clean. The friendly staff speak english well. Would recommend if you're looking for a cheap, well located hostel!

This is HK so space is a premium. Person to bathroom ratio isn't great, and not a lot of room in common areas. With that said, the hostel is located in a great area (about 10 min walk to metro system) and easy to get to from the airport (take the airport bus! It's cheap and a great view of the city!). Security pretty good w/ individual lockers in each room. Staff keeps bathrooms reasonably clean. Free drinking water available. Reception only open 8am-12am, email for late arrival.

Having stayed in Kowloon my last couple of times, I can say that this location is more quiet and mellow. In my opinion, that is a plus. Also, it is not too far from anything since it is on HK island. I would probably stay here again versus the other hostels I have stayed at in Hong Kong.

Great hostel. They organized trips that were great for meeting other people in the hostel (I went on the Victoria peak hike). The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location is great.

It was ok. I've stayed in both better and worse hostels. Beds were not very comfortable. No breakfast.

Awesome hostel, had a great time! Good location, pretty clean and good organized events. It would be nice if the common areas are all at the same place.

I was really impressed with how homey and social Check Inn was. Although there are only two bathrooms and a very small common space, guests managed well and the staff kept things clean. The head manager/owner (?) of the hostel is extremely friendly and helpful; he makes up for the other staff who seemed constantly grumpy. Other than that, this hostel is a great place with excellent value for Hong Kong!

The place is clean, very close to a MTR station. The place is little cramped as compared to other places, but spaces is a premium in HK. The staff is quite helpful. Definitely value for money.

First time to Hong Kong & traveling alone. Location of hostel was very convenient, 5 min walk to metro. 15 min walk to causeway Bay Area. Stayed in female dorm, bottom bunk (cave-like, but not bad). AC worked great, July is HOT. Friendly staff, planned Events. Older couple (staff) was frequently on my floor (14th) either cleaning or doing something..? Keycard access to floor & rooms, security code entry at front door. Met a lot of fun people from around the world. The shower in room was a plus.
