Well run, friendly and helpful hostel, though as fitting for Hong Kong it's very limited in terms of space - it's tiny!

Check Inn has a great location in the heart of Wan Chai, which makes just about everything in Hong Kong an MTR journey, ferry, or tram ride away. The neighborhood is bustling & safe 24 hours a day (which was great when I was jetlagged, there are like 4 24-hour restaurants within 3 blocks). The facilities are pretty good. Check Inn makes do with HK space constraints quite well (rooms are not small at all, common room fits maybe 10 people sitting, but the bathrooms themselves are the showers).

This was my second visit in HK, and while the hostel I stayed in last time had good reviews, it was a total disappointment. So I came in with low expectations, but was positively surprised! Fast free wifi, friendly and helpful staff, free fruit, good common areas (for being in HK) etc. Would recommend this hostel.

Fantastic hostel. I stayed in both the 6 person shared room and the private double en-suite whilst I was there. Comfy clean beds, good hot showers and a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Free fruit is provided each day which is a nice little extra. Computers and free WiFi available for those who need it. Also in a fantastic location very close to the Wan Chai Metro Station which makes it easy to get around. I really cannot recommend this hostel enough.

A bit noisy in night because near bus road, but that's common in HK.

Nice hostel with a nice social area where it is easy to meet people. the value for money is unbelievable for HK! the location is also convenient: 1 min to bus from the airport, 5 min to MTR. i will stay here again!

This time was my first time traveling alone...and to be honest, I was worried I would be lonely or bored. But thanks to this hostel, I was neither! Great location (easy to get around the city) VERY clean, great and nice staff. Always willing to help. They speak excellent English and can help you in terms of where to go, how to get there what to eat, etc. Would highly recommend it.

I was very happy to find this hostel. I traveled alone and didn't have a huge budget, so I was worried I wouldn't find anything that was inexpensive or comfortable. It's pretty cozy though it helps you get to know your fellow travelers. My only complaint is the hot water for the shower didn't last long. Even though the heater was on, I didn't get any warm water my 2nd day (brr!). All-in-all, though, I was happy.

The hostel is really clean and located in a pretty central location, easy to go around the whole city. The staff is really kind and was there to receive me at 2am when my flight got delayed. The only negatives are that the room needs sound proofing, specially the window of the bedroom facing the road and if you are over 1,85cm you will have trouble fitting the bed.

I had the best time at the Check Inn HK. People there were really social. The facilities were super clean. Free bananas! And the staff was awesome, especially Pinky!

I arrived at the hostel early Christmas Day '12. I emailed ahead saying that due to my flight changing I'll be arriving much later than originally planned, my email was replied to promptly and the receptionist stayed behind until I arrived, around 1am.

First of all, a smallish place and probably having lesser place than the other counterpart of it in Causeway bay, however the location is still very good and the place despite being small and having more ppl in it is awesomely clean. free bananas, chocolate, toiletries in bathroom are availible, which I havent seen in any other hostel provide that. Internet connectivity is awesome and the book selection is good. The staff is the best part of this hostel, they make for everything

Great helpful staff, clean, bright and friendly location, easy to find as well! If the dates you want are not available, go ahead and shoot them an email, they were able to accommodate my group even though the website said they could not.

It was easy to meet a lot of great people here. I stayed over Christmas and they threw a Christmas party which was really nice of them. The location is great: walking distance to metro and all sorts of food. The hostel really feels like home. It is small, but I think that's all you'll find in Hong Kong. There are only 2 bathrooms, but they did a good job of keeping them clean by mopping after almost anyone showered. I would definitely stay here again!

Great central hostel with a fantastic vibe to meet people from all over the world! You'll never be bored at that place and the staff is very helpful and super friendly! A little bit expensive for a WE stay but well worth it for the laughs and close to VISA place.
