We stayed at Cheers hostel for 3 nights and had a great time! The location was great and allowed us to easily get where we wanted to go. The staff were wonderful - friendly, helpful and always willing for a chat. The view from the rooftop bar was beautiful!

I spent almost ten days at Cheers Hostel this past December. Everyone was gracious, kind and helpful. Onur (the owner) is quite a character (in the best possible way.) Breakfast is generous and delicious, the beds are comfortable and warm, the view out the bar window (of Hagia Sofia) is second to none. It's easy to meet people, and the tram is a five minute walk from the front door. I couldn't be happier with my stay.

A really comfortable hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Surrounded by the main tourist sites and plenty of places to eat out. Couldn't really fault this hostel at all. Thanks for a great stay.

I've stayed in four hostels in Istanbul (all of which are rated above 90%) and Cheers is the best. Tarik is an awesome guy and great at getting guests to socialise. Great upstairs bar, big rooms with comfy beds and great location. Don't bother staying anywhere else.

Cheers is amazing! From the cleanliness to the fantastic people that work there, it has been my favorite hostel to stay at. Tarik at the front desk is an amazing host and all of the other guys are so helpful. Hot apple tea or coffee whenever you want, calling shuttles, reccomending sites and restaraunts, these guys are the ones who make the hostel what it is and so great. Even rearranged things to allow us to stay an extra night! HIGHLY reccomended.....STAY HERE!!!!!

Cheers is cheerful. Tareq and the guys are funny, happy and organized. The bar on the top is beautiful, complete with a fireplace and comfy cushions. The dorms are dorms, but the single and double rooms across the street are WORTH IT! Breakfast goes until late and its an easy location off the tram.

W/ a prime location in Sultanahmet, Cheers is the perfect base to explore the old city. Rooms are clean and comfy, breakfast is substantial & tasty & the top floor bar (w/ the best unobstructed view of Hagia Sofia in the city) is a perfect place to start or finish an evening out. The staff (Tarik in particular) is a wealth of information & they go out of their way to make guests feel at home. Even after checking out & moving to longer term accommodation I returned to Cheers again and again!

Overall, Cheers Hostel provided an excellent experience. Not only was it centrally located, but the environment that the staff created was beyond our expectations. The staff was happy to help answer any questions and also suggest worthwhile restaurants and sites around Istanbul. One of highlights of our trip was sitting in the hostel bar overlooking the Hagia Sophia interacting with the many diverse guests from around the world. We would highly recommend staying at Cheers Hostel in Istanbul.

This hostel is awesome. You've got one of the best views in the city of the Hagia Sophia from their rooftop bar. The staff is very helpful and willing to do anything to make sure your stay is one to remember. Beds and other facilities are comfy/clean, free breakfast in the morning and great coffee all day. Great location and great hostel environment. Next time i'm in istanbul i'll definetly stay at cheers again!

We loved our stay in Cheers Hostel. People are very friendly and you can make lots of friends in the hostel's bar, that has a wonderful view from Hagia Sophia. The staff is very helpful and does everything they can to make your stay comfortable. The location is great, it's close to everything, and you can visit almost everything by foot. One of The best hostels I've ever been.

Literally the best 4 days I've ever spent in a hostel. It was my first time traveling on my own, so I was a little nervous, but the staff was incredible and the atmosphere was perfect for meeting people. It was easy to find, perfectly located among the attractions, clean, safe, and pretty darn cheap. There can't be a better hostel in Istanbul

Tarek and his team are doing a great job at Cheers Hostel. I was staying in the large dorm and everything was clean as you want it to be. Tarek hooks you up with fellow guests if you're a solo traveller like I was. He showed me where to go and how to get to places. The location is incredible for anything you wanna do in the city. The hostel bar offers great views and is a perfect place to connect with fellow guests! Thumbs up, I would always come again

Of the 4 hostels I stayed in on this trip, Cheers definately was the best. Wonderful, helpful, happy staff. The bar was a lot of fun in the evening with good music and was the gathering place each night. I would definately recommend it for any age.

After some soulless hostels in western Europe,it was great to be back in Turkey and the Cheers hostel is the place to stay .Perfect location, comfortable beds, good breakfast, bathrooms, lockers and wifi. All the things that are expected in a good hostel. The bar has an amazing view of the Hagia Sofia - great place to meet other travellers. What makes this one stand out is the incredible staff that helped all the guests get to know each other . A big happy family. Stay there!

Brilliant. Super bar at the top, amazing views of the city, but also cozy and good for conversation and meeting others. Staff are super friendly and speak very good English. Very safe and secure, I've left my laptop out unattended in the bar all day whilst I've been out in the city. Great location. They just really look after you here. Will be back for Christmas, New Year - my new home in Istanbul!
