The staff were great here, they really made our stay! Also, the location is great, no long walks to see anything, it is all right on the door stop!

Had a great time at Cheers hostel. It is centrally located even with a view of Ayasofya from the hostel bar. It is also a stones throw from the tram line. Buffet breakfast was very nice.

Great location and staff with an amazing view of Hagia Sophia. It's definitely a party hostel. Only downside was that the room itself didn't have a lock, although lockers were provided.

In a great location, but there wasn't a place to lock up my things, and we weren't given a key to the dorm room door, so couldn't even lock the room. The shower in the room hadn't been cleaned, though the linens were clean. The bar upstairs was very nice and relaxed but between the loud music upstairs and the loud music downstairs, there wasn't much sleeping without earplugs. The breakfast was good and the staff were very nice, but I wouldn't stay again.

Unbeatable location for sightseeing, clean/comfortable rooms, great rooftop bar and delicious breakfast. However, this hostel's greatest strength is its staff, all of whom go out of their way to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and help guests make the most of their stay in Istanbul. Would definitely recommend Cheers to anyone visiting the city.

We stayed 2 nights on the second floor dorm , and the bar is at the 3rd floor. Music go until 2am and u never get sleep... Also, the kitchen is for "hot water" and microwave only. So it is not a "guest kitchen " Well, and the staff want to sell you the tour after we asked some information about bus ticket. We just want a bus ticket . Maybe we are tired of the "promotion way"

It was my first time in Istanbul and as a female solo traveler, I was a little anxious. The staff was amazing from the moment I got out of the taxi. They were already giving help even before I got to the desk. Then they gave me plenty of informations, making themselves really available. Through the conversations, I learned a lot about the culture and they helped me to arrange an amazing tour in Kappadocia. It was quite heart warming to stay at cheers for that they make you comfortable and happy!

Cheers is by far THE BEST hostel in Istanbul. It's prime location in the heart of the Sultanahmet district puts you within minutes of the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, the Blue Mosque an much more. The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to share local knowledge if you're looking for sights or restaurants off the beaten path. They do their best to ensure your stay in Istanbul is that much better. Cheers!

Cheers was recommended to me by two friends. Everyone at the hostel is really friendly and helpful with directions/tips. There's a good bar upstairs and a restaurant by the same name which is great for the price. Breakfast in the morning is MUCH better than most hostel breakfasts. It's in a really good spot for seeing almost all of the tourist attractions and a great value for a highly touristed part of Istanbul.

Great atmosphere, very central, good breakfast, friendly staff!!! We had a double room in a neighbour house, which was great because we were not in the main building where the bar is. However, there is a washing center(?) next to the house, so that some days you can hear the washing machine up 7:30 a.m. Our bathroom was unfortunately not very clean (black spots on the walls) and it stunk. They cleaned it after complaining, it was then better. Sheets, floor and so on were clean.

Cheers is to be the best place ive stay stayed at. I felt as part of the family right away. From amazing BBQ, breathtaking view at the bar and amazing people I've met will forever b some of my most happy memories. The guys here at Cheers showed us an amazing time during the day, hooking us up with everything from the best barbers around to best clubs and Turkish bath. If you wanna experience the real Istanbul and feel as a local this is the place to be. Thanks Samet,Tarik ,onur, selim, kadir!!

Heard good things about Cheers even before we got there and it lived up to our high expectations. The location is superb (right near all the main Sultanahmet attractions). The top bar is pleasant and has a great view of the surroundings. The staff were excellent...very happy and welcoming, and always helpful. Hard to fault really!
