One of the best hostels that we have stayed in! The location is perfect, the rooms are very clean and Tarik and his friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay a happy one! If you are looking for a fun hostel with friendly staff, look no further!

We had a great time here and the staff was amazing and helpful. The breakfast was very good quality. Everyone was so friendly and willing to go out of their way to make us comfortable and get us anything we needed. We went on a two day trip in the middle of our stay and Cheers let us leave our bags there and even welcomed us back with breakfast even though we didn't stay there! I would definitely recommend this hostel.

I'm going to be talking about how awesome Cheers was for a very long time. From the moment we walked in Samet (one of the nicest guys I have met... ever), Tariq, Kadir (INCREDIBLE resident DJ) and the entire staff did everything possible to ensure our stay was unforgettable. The people/friends we met at the hostel were truly fantastic (including 24 Norwegian college girls... seriously). For anyone looking for a hostel in Istanbul there are only two choices: Cheers Hostel and everywhere else...

This is an exceptional hostel. The best I found in Turkey; one of the best I've stayed in anywhere. The dorms are clean, showers good, beds comfy. The staff were on their 'A' game even in the dead of winter. I came back after two weeks and was met with smiles and breakfast. I saw them teach a guest to play backgammon, help others book buses and tours (without ever being pushy). The top floor bar is cool (with a view of the Aya Sophia right there). Spend the extra few lira, you'll be glad you did

Absolutely recommend travellers to stay at cheers because of the excellent location(rooftop view overlooking Hagia Sofia), helpful staff, comfy beds, delicious breakfast, and friendly atmosphere. Onur and tariq helped me book my tours around turkey which was amazing. Had a blast here! Stay at cheers!

Cheers was the best hostel I have ever stayed with. The staff were amazing, when I was sick they made sure I was ok, maid cleans every day, it is a very open and warm environment. I was in a 6 bed all female dorm, and I felt at home while I was there, they absolutely made my trip to Istanbul incredible : ) Awesome value for the money as well. A ten minute walk takes you to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, local bazaar, tons of restaurants, & the Palace Museum. I will definitely stay there again.

I arrived by myself late at night and totally stressed out after having my wallet stolen. The staff were amazing and made sure I was comfortable and not stressed for my first night in Istanbul. The staff really get to know everyone by name and make everybody feel super welcome. The vibe is great, the rooms are clean and simple yet homely and comfortable, with plenty of space. The rooftop bar over looks the Aya Sofia and is excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

This hostel was not my first choice. Since the other hostel was slow in replying my enquiry, I went ahead to book this hostel and I didn't have any single regret at all. Location in Sultanahmet is great, near Istanbul's top sights. Staffs were friendly, trying to engange me in a conversation whenever I was in the lobby. Good facilities such as wifi, free internet downstair, free breakfast and locker. And the most important thing to me was that the toilet was clean!!!

A pleasure. Go for it! I am a singel traveller. I ve been to many hostels but this is by far the best one I be been. I booked for a 8 dorm but somehow wanted it a bit quiter and decided to a room for myself. Staff: Tarik and the hosts were eager to help any time. They really give their best to make your stay a pleasure. Location: Lots of sightseeing just around this place and reachable on foot. Rooms: Are lovely decorated and the rooms are clean and cozy.

I was very nervous to travel to Istanbul, also very excited. Safety and comfort were at the top of my list, as I was traveling with 1 other American girl. We took the shuttle service from the airport, checked in with Tarik, were introduced to the rest of the staff, and put at ease right away. When we return to Istanbul, we are definitely staying at Cheers! I would recommend it to anyone, for short or long trips! Felt COMPLETELY safe, and the entire staff was very helpful in planning activities.

Such a great location for so cheap! There was a great bar on the top level that had an amaZing view of Hagia Sophia. At the same time they were mindful of other guests and took everyone in the bar out with them after 12 for a great night in Istanbul. The hostel owner and workers were absolutely lovely willing to help you get anything you want whether it is pide, a tour or Turkish bath visit they were always happy to help and get you the best deal. Rooms were big with lockers with keys.
