This hostel was not my first choice. Since the other hostel was slow in replying my enquiry, I went ahead to book this hostel and I didn't have any single regret at all. Location in Sultanahmet is great, near Istanbul's top sights. Staffs were friendly, trying to engange me in a conversation whenever I was in the lobby. Good facilities such as wifi, free internet downstair, free breakfast and locker. And the most important thing to me was that the toilet was clean!!!

A pleasure. Go for it! I am a singel traveller. I ve been to many hostels but this is by far the best one I be been. I booked for a 8 dorm but somehow wanted it a bit quiter and decided to a room for myself. Staff: Tarik and the hosts were eager to help any time. They really give their best to make your stay a pleasure. Location: Lots of sightseeing just around this place and reachable on foot. Rooms: Are lovely decorated and the rooms are clean and cozy.

I was very nervous to travel to Istanbul, also very excited. Safety and comfort were at the top of my list, as I was traveling with 1 other American girl. We took the shuttle service from the airport, checked in with Tarik, were introduced to the rest of the staff, and put at ease right away. When we return to Istanbul, we are definitely staying at Cheers! I would recommend it to anyone, for short or long trips! Felt COMPLETELY safe, and the entire staff was very helpful in planning activities.

Such a great location for so cheap! There was a great bar on the top level that had an amaZing view of Hagia Sophia. At the same time they were mindful of other guests and took everyone in the bar out with them after 12 for a great night in Istanbul. The hostel owner and workers were absolutely lovely willing to help you get anything you want whether it is pide, a tour or Turkish bath visit they were always happy to help and get you the best deal. Rooms were big with lockers with keys.

The staff and the atmosphere was welcoming as soon as you walk in from a long day of travel. The breakfast was good and at later times. They were helpful with advice for the city and spoke good English. The WiFi is strong in all areas of the hostel. The views from the upstair bar was breathtaking. It was a great experience and I will definitely return to Istanbul because of it. Taric and Husan (sp?) made it a night to remember from a locals point of view. Thank you again.

Cheers hostel is easily the best hostel I've stayed in. The location is great (1 minute from Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque etc), the rooms are really nice, the breakfast is decent but it's the atmosphere created by the handsome Tarik that makes it what it is. Tarik ensures an incredibly friendly environment in the hostel and it creates for the most inclusive hostel experience I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Cheers to any traveller.

Upon checking into the hostel after a red-eye flight, we were greeted and given breakfast (so fresh & good) before we even checked in!! The rooms were spacious and there was plenty of space to lock up our stuff. The location is unbeatable and the upstairs deck/bar area is a cute addition. All the staff are friendly and take time to learn your name which is very rare. One night, Tarik took a big group of us out to one of his favorite restaurants in Istanbul!! Hoping to return here again soon!!

Upon arrival at the hostel, I had been travelling for 35 hours and was extremely tired and in a foreign city - the manager of the hostel welcomed me in, showed me the facilities and made me feel completely at home. I was even introduced to a beautiful lady about an hour later!!! I had a problem with my Turkish SIM card, the staff were so helpful to sort it out and everybody is so friendly. I was really overwhelmed by how welcoming the place is, I was very happy - but sad to leave!!

The staff was very friendly, the hostel is very well-located within the most important sightseeing places. The rooms vary from old and not so cozy to new and very beautiful. We had a great stay there and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to istanbul.

This is the best hostel I stayed at in Istanbul. Tarik the manager is very very friendly and will help you with anything you need. The staff give out free hugs and massages all day long. I lost my luggage at the airport and the staff at the hostel were very helpful in trying to find it for me. The bar has an amazing view of the Aya Sofya. The beds are very comfortable. I would highly reccomend this place to stay in. Cheers!!

I can't recommend Cheers Hostel enough. Its amazing, staff are great, beers are cheap and breakfast hits the spot. The location is fantastic, 1-2 minutes away from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Basilica Cistern. It is also a cheap cab ride to Taksim (the main bar and club street). Its a perfect hostel if you want a balanced trip of nightlife (don't worry the bar shuts at 1am, so you will be able to have a good sleep) and sight seeing. JUST DO IT-BOOK IT ALREADY!

We stayed in the Cheers Hostel for 4 nights and we really enjoyed it. We had a room for two persons, including own bathroom which was very clean. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed to had some beers in the nice Hostel bar with the amazing view on the blue mosque. The Hostel is located very central and we could easily walk to all nice places. When we come back to Istanbul we will definitely stay in this Hostel again. Thanks to Tarek and team for the good time!
