I stayed in the 14 person room, which was comfortable and had nice bathrooms. The common spaces were nice, there was a great outdoor patio, and the hostel seemed to attract a friendly crowd. Well located for going just about anywhere in TLV.

In general the hostel is acceptable, the senior gentleman who runs the hostel is quite amicable and will tell you interesting facts about Jewish culture, however the other gentleman, who apparently is the son, needs to learn some manners, I noticed how rude he was towards other people, he even made an Asian girl cry and leave.

Very nice hostel. Felix is the soul of the hostel and makes everyone feel like a family member. He is very helpful and always has time for a chat and a smile. He is running the hostel during the day. In the evening his son Roy takes over. He is organizing the parties and has no time to help guests or for friendly replies. Can be rude at times. The facilities of the hostel are great and in good condition. I stayed for a week and always slept well, but it's highly recommended to bring ear plugs!

I really liked Chef Hostel. It is in the centre of everything and a great place to meet new people from all over the world. They organize a great pubcrawl every Saturday and the staff is very helpful. The facilities including the kitchen and the bathrooms are very clean and the backyard is perfect to enjoy some drinks in the sun. The atmosphere is very nice. I would always come back. Great hostel!

So-so hostel... I'm shocked it has such high ratings. I feel like a lot of people rating it don't have much to compare it to... Saying it has 'lockers' is a joke, as they're so small my iPad didn't fit. That said, the crowd is good, and fun, and parties.

My stay at the Chef Hostel in Tel Aviv was unforgettable great. I felt very welcome and the owner showed me the location and helped me whenever i had questions. The hostels backyard is cosy and invites you to stay, the kitchen is functional to cook your own dinner and the dorm is comfortable to rest. i can`t wait to go back there, i definitely will.

I stayed at Chef Hostel for 2 nights and was generally pleased with my experience. There were a few improvements that I'd make (more counter space in the bathroom please!) but Roy's friendliness, the laidback vibe and great location more than made up for any disappointment!

Chef hostel is simply an amazing place to stay! You feel at home 5 minutes after you walked in for the first time! And you never want to leave :) The staff is super nice, the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, and the back garden is a perfect spot for the cup of morning coffee and a glass of evening wine. I highly recommend!

3 of us stayed at Chef Hostel for the NY party 2013. We shared a room for only 3 people. It had a nice balcony and everything you need for a good sleep.

We had a great time at the Chef hostel. As soon as we arrived, Roy gave us useful tips on what to see, do, where to eat etc. The hostel has a very friendly atmosphere and has a nice big terrace. We stayed in a twin room that was ok. We used shared bathrooms which were very clean. There is a kitchen and a fridge that can be used, it is very practical for those who do not want to eat out all the time. The hostel is at a great location, close to the city center, markets, shopping and the beach.
