Great, great area, you can get onto the Highline within a minute from the door! Meatpacking district is just 5 minute walk, etc... I would stay here again. Very clean, especially bathrooms. Free breakfast. Only drawback is if your room faces 12th ave and is on a lower floor then you will find it noisey from traffic running along 12th ave. Luckily I had earplugs and that did the trick. I should mention we slept with window open, if we had used AC then would've been more quiet.
The hostel is in a good location, has free Wi-Fi only in the lobby, not in the rooms, staff are so so, some of them helpful, others don`t care too much about anything, all metal doors with a little air flow, can be hot. There are air cons in the dorms but the windows are nailed so you have to open door to let the fresh air in. Dorms are really basic with few toilets on each floor. Luggage storage until after 16h pm is $4 without receipt and anybody can take any luggage when staff change shifts.
Was there for 1 week, had to check in and check out 4 times! Very annoying!
