Bon endroit où loger pour un prix raisonnable! Bien acceuillies et nous n'avons eu aucun soucis. Seul "problème" : la wifi qui n'a marché qu'au bout de trois jours sur nos téléphones. >Good place to stay with very little prices. Good welcoming and no problems except for the wifi: it worked after 3 days on our phones.

After almost 5 hours traveling everything you want is to arrive at hostel and take a shower but there was not hot shower and there was a cocockroach in front of my bedroom. The staff was very simpathic but I couldn`t stayd there all my trip.

It was very nice. We had a good time here. We spent one week in this hostel and we had no problem. Rooms were clean.

place is very good only problem would be to have a bad roomate but that´s not hostels fault, you can request a room change with no cost which is great. Wifi is not so good, sometimes you have trouble connecting to it but once it´s there it´s pretty good.

Your metal bunkbeds are very wobbly. This could be fixed with diagonal brackets in the corner joints to prevent flexing. Adding corner brackets would be an easy job for an experienced handyman.

We had a little trouble finding it the first time, but once we did everything went smoothly from there. The staff was quick and friendly. Our room, as well as the bathrooms were very clean upon arrival. Only about a 5-10 minute walk to the subway. The only drawback was even in January there was an AC unit bolted into the window and it was pretty hard to block out the noise at night. (But what do you expect in NYC?) I would stay here again - cheap and in Manhattan.

It's an older place: thin walls, squeaky metal beds, poor heating. But the bathrooms were new and clean, and regarding the price for a two person dorm in manhattan, it's not the worst deal. Don't except too much, breakfast is plain.

I felt the area was a great area. The people are not super friendly but not rude either. The rooms were decent and all in all a good stay for the price. The only thing is I got in really late and the shower was chilly. For me this is a big problem since after a flight the first thing I want is a great shower. This may just be due to other non controllable circumstances.

Nice and clean. Good rooms. Inexpensive. Not very social. 3 Avenues from the subway which is a bit of a trek.

This was very affordable for NY and last minute but I quickly learned why. There was no hot water in the bathrooms for 2 out of the three days of my stay. There were not enough shower and toilets for the amount of residents. The staff were generally unfriendly and when informed about the hot water issue lied about it being fixed. I just feel as though no effort is made for a positive experience.

Takeaway point: this hostel is great value for money and location. Now, more detail. I liked the hostel staff. They were all helpful and always had a movie playing on Netflix and asked people if they wanted to choose the next movie. The atmosphere was average. This hostel doesn't have a big common room or anything. The only negative things about it that I could find was the freezing cold water in the showers and the poor heating in the rooms which a LOT of people were complaining about.

I had to cancel my reservation the morning of my stay due a snow storm that hit New York and canceled my inbound flight. They graciously agreed not to charge me for the night - despite the stated policy of requiring 24 hours notice - and only kept the deposit. Given that the cancellation was nature-related and out of my control, I appreciated their understanding and would stay with them in the future simply because of that.

We stayed for three nights during new year celebrations. Got back from bitter cold 'ball drop' event to no heating in the room, even after putting in a request to the front desk staff to turn the heat ON. Bad start to the new year indeed. We must mention the dirty looking bed cover, although it didn't smell.

I really enjoyed my stay there. It was conveniently located near times square, train and stores/restaurants. I will definitely be staying at one of these hostels again.

Only good side is the location, but it's still a 15 minutes walk from the nearest subway station. Not clean. Whole place smells terrible, rooms too. Staff was fine. I stayed there in Dec. and it was very cold inside. My room feels like outside even with the heat but then, guess what, the hostel lost heat and hot water therefore the stay became a total suffering.
