A clean bed with sheets, and that's about it. They don't even have soap available (or, at least, it wasn't provided to us). Also, remember to bring your own towel (they do warn that they don't provide for towels, but i found this to be a bit unusual).

Great hostel although could do with another common room - just the one breakfast room was cramped but then did have an outdoors (although it was raining when I went). Otherwise great

The main doors facing the street need a slow close mechanism, staying in room C3 the sound of the front door slamming was excessive. Hooks in the private bathrooms for towels etc. Towel rental would be a good idea.... perhaps with a security deposit. A lot of people don't travel with towels!

This hostel has a good structure, but they can improve in some aspects such as stuff member and atmosphere. The location is very good and you are able to move around NYC easily.

Very good value for money. The location was excellent and security was good which was very important to me. It did lack atmosphere although suited my needs and provided a clean environment.

i had a private room for one person, with shared bathroom. the room was small but very clean, and so were the restroom and shower on the hallway. only downside, the internet did not work in my room.

At times, the staff weren't so friendly. Also, the fact that you have to pay for a locker to keep your luggage once you check out seems rather unfair, considering most hostels do luggage storage for free.

I had a great time staying there. It was a fun place and the location was perfect! I would stay again. I had come to see a play a friend of mine had written and starred in, held near Washington Square. We all met for lunch in Gramercy near Union Square. A cousin of mine who lives in West Harlem met me and we went gallery hopping in Midtown Manhattan. So the location was just perfect. It helped that it was bright and sunny in NY that weekend. Thanks!

The hostel is very clean, the location is great, close to the subway and other facilities and I felt very safe walking around the area at night. I recommend the restaurant Red Bamboo located at 140 W 4th St (between 6th ave & Macdougal).

Considering NY prices, it fits. Even if it is expensive when compared to average price of hostels in main capitals of the world such as London, Paris, etc. where you can stay for half of this price with more facilities, etc. I will suggest them to have towels for rent. Considering it is a hostel, it is ok to save money on this item but usually backpackers travel with small luggages and a towel is always something big and havy to carry on. Rent this item would be a nice solution for both parties.

Great hostel to stay in, I booked a single room and had a great stay. Free Wifi worked and the breakfast was good & included in the price. I would definitely recommend this hostel to other solo travelers. Good location.

There's no internet in the rooms and the common area closes at 11:00 pm, so we cannot use internet at late night. Actually, we are forced to used the common are for internet, what is unconfortable and remains the only negative point of the hostel. Specially in the rainny days and the cold nights, the kitchen gets packed with people speaking on skype very loudly. I would rather to talk in my room and check personal stuff (emails, voice messages) in a private space, not in front of everybody.

- Character: Room horrible, bed inconfortable, 15 cm between each bed... - Breakfast good, common room without any caracter , table to eat outside just near the garbage... 1 bagel per person.. hope you are not hangry! - Atmosphere : clean, but staff not friendly, we ask for a supplementary blanket, not possible, it was just frizing in the room !!!!! - value for money, very poor, we paid like 50 dol per night, and it really do not worse it !

Ok hostel but I wasn't expecting much. Good value for money especially since I booked a 2-bed dorm female ensuite. It was pretty cold the first night though as it seems that they had shut down the heating system and didn't expect such cold weather (5 degrees Celsius in late May!). A bit noisy but overall ok for the 2 nights I stayed there.
