-I went in February where NYC was pretty cold. The heating in the room is awful. I slept feeling extermely cold. They offered one thin blanket for each bed which isn't even useful for summers! -The bathroom is very dirty. There are stains in the bath and allover the sink -There is no wifi in the rooms and only in the common area unlike what they publicize. -The location isn't even that good

Great value for your money! Location is amazing, rooms are clean and really cheap. A lot of taxes will be added to the price when you arrive, but it is still super cheap. It can be a bit nosy, but hey you're in the middle of NYC!

We had a nice time at CIH. The best is the location, as you can save some money as you can walk arround the city instead of travelling by bus or train. It was also really clean, and the kitchen was fully equiped. The only thing was the intense heating on the two bed rooms. Staff was nice and helpful!

Taxes for a room/person is too high. They charge for NY state taxess, NYC taxes, Javits center fees per day (what's that?), Occupancy fees per day (what's that?) which do not appear when you are booking. The final price is not as cheap as you suppose at all.

Great location. Not the nicest hostel I've been to but pretty cheap compared to other NYC hostels. The room was decent. Bed was relatively comfortable, but the noise outside made it hard to sleep. Overall, not a bad stay. Might stay there again in the future.

We thought it was a little expensive but I think it's pretty good for New York. Great to have access to wifi, kitchen and a breakfast.

The sheets were used by at least two people before this. I know this because my roommate was there for a while and had seen at least 2 people sleep on it. Wen I requested clean sheets before leaving for dinner, they were still not replaced by the time I got back at midnight. It took the staff another half an hour to bring the sheets (which I had to change myself) while I had to wait to go to sleep. The dirty, loose heating in the room was as noisy as a passing freight train and the blinds were

Very very basic facilities, location is great for the price, breakfast is fine for NYC, no real atmosphere during the winter although I'm sure it would be different in the summer. Room was freezing cold even with heater working, they did provide extra blanket when asked but room shouldnt be that cold in the first place.

I like Chelsea Hostel. It has a good location. You can take subway to go easily. However, I doubt that my sheet was new when I stayed 2bedroom.
