Everything was pretty nice. Staff was nice. I got a single room and it's a good price in New York City (excellent place in Chelsea). The one bagle policy for breakfast is true, but it's enough. You get a bagle, a fruit, jam and butter + unlimited cerelas and coffee. Overall it was a really good experience. Recommended

They have WiFi only in the common area which is closed from 11pm-7am. No WiFi in the dorms!

It was alright, not excellent, but not horrible. The room is fairly clean. The heater was on for way too long before we came, and so it made me felt like I was in the oven! It also leaks water all over the floor. I and my friend only stayed for one night, and I am fairly easygoing, so I don't require too fancy a place to sleep. Chelsea International was sufficient.

I realy like there, staff was very friendly, but I think could be better if they have a better common area, with couch and people interacting! Dificult to make new friends there!

Wireless access is limited to around dining room; little to no access any where else and the dining room closes at 11. No choice at breakfast - bagle, a fruit, cornflakes and orange juice.

Can't beat the location! Perfectly centered, the 2 bed female ensuite was clean and good sized, breakfast was okay although packed and had nowhere to sit. Really, its all about location and a hot shower. Definetely will recommend it.

All staffs were so unkind, especially male staffs. I predict I would get low quality, and it was true. But, not bad location and low quaility faciliies are very suitable to the price. So, if you want to stay in NY in cheap price, it would be good choice.

I requested a 6 bedded dorm and ended up with a 2 person room. Granted it was really tiny but I didn't have to share with 5 other people so that was great. The free breakfast is awesome so filling and great that you get a piece of fruit which is unheard of in other hostels I have stayed in. The Internet is really not very good, always dropping out so frustrating!! But all in all a good place to stay!

Wifi only in the common area, so no one is really talking to meet new people because the layout makes most people face the wall using their laptops/phones. Toilets don't have sinks, so you have to go back to the dorm to wash hands with no soap provided, making it very unhygienic. The breakfast was reasonable and staff quiet friendly. Great location, so it's good if you're spending most of the time outside the hostel in NYC.

Staff was not nice, wifi only in common area and until 11 pm, never working properly. Breakfast very poor. No ambiance, only a basement / kitchen. There is not even a couch, if you want to realx and read a book. Very unconfortable. Room was ok. Small, but clean. Nice bathroom.

hostel itself is really good esp for its location but the staff, I am sorry to say is not really as helpful. Also no internet access after 11 pm, as the lounge(common area) closes by that time. Otherwise, as a package, its mainly average for the price and its location.

wifi is only available in the communal area. check in was at 2pm in the worlds tiniest lobby. and if you want to put your bags in storage you have to pay for a locker. which is just stupid. i had to pay $5 for for my bag to be locked up for 3 hours because check in was at 2pm.

Spartan Room; shared bath and shower very clean but needing some refurbishing; breakfast good but uncomfortable experience "YOU JUST CAN TAKE ONE BAGEL"; unfriendly staff; hospital beds!; Good Neighborhood, several police cars in front and close to metro, organic grocery store, restaurants, bars, etc; could be better for the price; THIS PLACE IS MISSING some sympathy, some human touch, some smiles, maybe?

1. Beef up the Wi-Fi so that it can handle the load 2. Since the toilets are in separate rooms in the hall, with no sink for washing hands, provide hand sanitizer in the toilet rooms so that fecal contamination won't be transferred unto the toilet room door knobs, and many other things around the hostel. This is important! 3. There should be a TV room with comfy chairs + movies 4. Common areas should be open 24 hrs 5. Indoor common area should be larger to accommodate more people, esp in winter

The location was very nice, in a safe place if Chelsea, seems to be quite safe even at night, not far from Times Square. The room is very small like most of the hostel but pretty expensive. I payed per night almost 140 USD including tax for two people. It's similar to cheap hotel. My roommate was really strange and irritating like walking around in the room at dawn. As a whole, it was nice except the price.
