The strongest point is the location: it is very close to Penn station, Madson Square Garden and Empire State Building. The neighborhood of Chelsea is very charming (nice restaurants nearby and plenty of nice places to grab a bagle and a coffee in the morning) and has easy access to subway lines. Staff was helpful with touristic advice. There are two things I did not like: 1) system in the rooms is very poor, even with airco on, it always feels stuffy; 2) the beds creak whenever you move.

Great and helpful staff. Not just 1 employee, but literally 3-4 staff went out of their way to help!

The hotel is located near subway, walking round 4 blocks ( bout 4 min). There are lots of restaurants around, easy to walk to times square. The room is small, but clean. Overall, i think it worths for your price!

When exiting front door at 515am I found the electric door latch Scotch-taped open, allowing ingress without a card key.

No breakfast. It is also the first time I had to pay to leave my bag on the departure day. It was also the first time I went to a hostel in the US... maybe this is how it works here. I'm just not used to that. Besides that, nothing to complain about. It's a bit pricy for a hostel, but the people are friendly and ready to help. It's very well located too, which is a HUGE plus in NYC.

Location good, spacious rooms, staff ruins all: arrogant, incompetent and ignorant. 8:30 in the morning: I was asleep when a cleaner walks in, radio at max volume. He cleans the bed below me and dumps the old sheets on me while I was just waking up because of the noise. Then another cleaner walks in: they start a loud discussion in Spanish. Told staff (some 'Wuh') who didn't care: he wasn't there, so he didn't know what happened. Didn't want to take action, not even apologize. Horrible place!

Excellent location! Bathrooms were plentiful and very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the lack of a kitchen/common area, but space is hard to find in NYC, and the price here was reasonable.

Your wifi sucks, but the Delta wifi is accessible without a password, so I ended up using that a lot of the time.

Awesome location, very walkable to Time Square, the theater district and shopping at 5th Ave. This place was very clean and safe even at night. The staff at the front desk were really willing to help out with any questions or concerns. I would definitely stay here again! ;)

everything was good except for the lack of a lounge/common area for the guests to use internet/hang out.

Great hostel experience! Very cheap and clean, in a very center (Times square in a 10 min walking distance) with helpful staff, the hostel is the best place to stay in the NYC. Highly recommend!!!
