A little lacking in some facilities, but all in all a safe and clean place to stay and an unbeatable location for the price.

it is okay if all you want a bed and a place to sleep. warm enough and close enough to all the tourist attraction I must say. However, one of my roommate told me that she saw a mouse twice in one night. well I was fine and staff were nice. it wasnt that big to get scared of. but if the idea of mouse wandering around you in the night freaks you out, it is not a place to sleep.

Great location if arriving or departing from Penn station. If walking the hostel is next door to subway sandwich shop FYI. Very clean rooms, but lacks any hostel features like a kitchen or common room. Had to eat my take away dinner in the hallway as people already asleep inthe room. There is a nice deck but useless in winter. Not recommended for an extended stay, 1 or 2 night's for a regular to the city it's fine.

Average hostel. More of a dorm-like. In-room bathroom. Great location. 1 block away from MSG and 15 mins away by foot from TIME SQ. Good for the money if booked in advance.

I had a lovely stay. I called before to cancel two nights, which didn't work. But I was able to cancel it when I was there - not a bother. A great variety of people stayed. Even thought it was a 12 people dorm since it was parted into two rooms, so that was good.

All accommodation was pricey in NY but we got what we paid for here. Prime location, stone's throw away from EVERYTHING we only had to catch the metro once. Staff were really helpful too. Room was clean and comfortable - I guess the only bad thing I've got to say is that there was 1 shower on each floor. Otherwise an awesome place that I recommend for anyone wanting something budget and centrally located. Oh and really close to hundreds of eateries and pubs!

Very friendly and helpful staff! I would have liked the room (the floor) to be cleaner and to have working blinds. Other than that I enjoyed my stay at the hostel :)

It is a good hostel overall... There is a lack of indoor common area and furnished kitchen. Security is ok, but the lockers are not bit enough to fit your backpack.. The location couldn't be better. The morning recepcionist, John, is awesome! Will help you 10 times if you need. I didn't appreciate the unannounced walk-in from other staff (not cleaning staff) into our room in the evening. I had allergic reactions, which was attributed to unclean surfaces (Dr. back home), which never had before.

I didn't mind my stay here since I was came with a group of friends. But don't expect too much. The staff aren't friendly. But at least its clean and we had an apartment...so at least...we had a boiler, microwave...just the basics. I didn't like the location because it was way too noisy. But if you're not too picky, then I think you won't mind the hostel.

The only thing I didn't like is that they don't have kitchen, the rest was very good and the staff is very polite and helpful. I would go back to this hostel.
